As my dad heard my voice, he immediately turned as I hugged him tightly, not minding that I was rumpling his dress for the party.

I held onto him tightly as this was the first time I was seeing my dad in years after his sudden demise.

My eyes were threatening to empty their contents and I couldn't hold it in.

My father immediately but gently broke the hug and stared at me as I tried to wipe my eyes slowly with my hand.

"I didn't expect you to come back this remorseful."

"You just turned 18th and you allowed Eric to mark you as his mate even when I and your nanny Julie told you not to."

My dad said with a mixture of anger and frustration in his gaze as he held me by the shoulder tightly.

"You went against my wish Anna and I'm mad and if your mom was alive, she still would be mad at you for taking such a decision against my wish."

My dad said, but his voice this time around was less vehement as he stared at my tear-filled face.

As I stared at him, everything now made perfect sense, it was after Eric had marked me that I had a fallout with my dad and ran to the woods and that was the point where the moon goddess had granted me my dying wish and gifted me a second chance at life.

I could only wish I had been brought backwards at least to the point where I hadn't made the biggest mistake of my life.

As I stared at my dad's face I could only see disappointment and frustration reeking all over him.

"Dad, I'm really sorry for everything I have done… I should have listened to you and now I'm regretting my actions."

My voice was barely above whispers as I wiped my tears with the back of my palm.

My dad immediately shuddered in trepidation as he heard me say that I was already regretting my decision.

Pulling me closer to himself he asked, "What do you mean by you are already regretting your decision?"

His gaze was all over me as he used one eye to carefully scan the hall for Eric Justin.

"Did Eric try to hurt you?" His voice was vehement as his Alpha instincts came alive immediately.

"No, not at all," I said as I stared in the direction where my dad's eyes were.

"Then what is the issue?"

My dad said as he held me closer.

"Speak to me Anna." My dad added.

I gazed at my dad and felt very remorseful for my actions.

"Dad I'm really very sorry I shouldn't have gone against your wish by allowing Eric to mark me…I promise to fix everything this time around."

I said as I bent my head in self-disappointment.

Before I knew what happened my dad pulled me into a warm embrace, "I trust you, Anna, you are strong just like your mom."

"Even though she died when you were very little, you still inherited her strength."

"Just be careful and make me proud."

Alpha Williams said as he patted me on my head softly.

"Thank you dad…I have to tell you something."

I said as I broke free from my dad's embrace.

"What is it, Anna?" My dad asked as he stared askance at me.

"Dad, it's a secret and please don't tell anyone…I actually…"

Before I could complete my statement, the pack trumpets went off indicating that our guests had arrived.

"Anna, go get dressed and prepare to meet our guests, you are the one to open this year's alliance ceremony."

My dad said as he ran off to do his Alpha stuff.

I immediately ran up the stairs and dashed into my room, as I opened the door, there he was sitting on my bed with a flower and smiling gleefully.

"What are you doing here, get out immediately!"

I screamed as the memories of Eric and Lisa betraying and murdering me were still fresh in my memory.

"Mate…It's me…it's your love Eric."

Eric said as he shuddered backwards in trepidation and anxiety.

Immediately I realized that I shouldn't have done that, I was supposed to play along and carefully take my revenge on him and my treacherous friend Lisa without drawing any undue attention to myself.

"I'm sorry, I just had a bad day."

I said as I stared at Eric who smiled pretentiously, perfectly hiding his evil intentions for me.

"It's alright my love, I just felt I should get you your favourite flowers and this pink gown for the ceremony."

Eric said, smiling gleefully as he produced the flower and pink gown from behind him and handed them over to me.

"Thanks." I said as he walked towards me with his hands open wide expecting a hug, which I had to give him just to be in the clear and keep him off my tail as I planned my sweet revenge and to know what actually happened to my dad and nanny Julie.

"You look beautiful…I can't wait to make you mine forever."

Eric said as he walked towards the door and opens it.

"Don't be late for the party… and put on the new gown I bought you… it cost me $10,000custom-makestom make it for you."

Eric gloated as he shut the door vehemently.

Clearly, he was still angry at me but he was just restraining himself to keep me unaware until he and Lisa got what they wanted.

Little did he know that I was now reborn and way ahead of both of them.

Staring at the gown I could only but think so Eric is going through all this just to murder me at last.

I was fooled before and I would truly be a fool to be fooled twice.

Immediately I stepped in the bathtub and in a matter of minutes I was out and already dressed.

My nanny Julie used to say I took my bath like a man.

Staring around my huge bedroom, I could only but wonder where Nanny Julie was.

Stepping out into the hall, everyone stared at me as I walked in like the adored princess I was.

The cold breeze blew my blonde hair in the perfect direction making me appear as a model.

I was wearing a royal blue gown that really accentuated my beauty.

As I walked down the stairs, I slipped immediately and I fell into the strong arms of a man.

Before I could turn to see who it was, Zia, my wolf who hadn't come alive since I was reborn, immediately jerked to life.

"Mate!"

"He is our mate!"

As I turned, it was Alpha Alfred, his arms were so strong and his hair perfectly styled highlighting his handsomeness.

Something is wrong…This wasn't how I recalled meeting my mate in my former life.

As I stared into his enchanting eyes, he did the same, it was as though the whole world paused as we stared at each other.

His scent was mesmerizing me, at this point I just wished the moon goddess had reborned a bit farther, at least to the point before I allowed that devil Eric to mark me a

s his mate.

I tried to speak but I was immediately interrupted by an angry voice behind me.

"Mate!… what's going on here?"
