Turning around my gaze fell on Lisa, my best friend, I meant former best friend, since she had already betrayed me and murdered me.

"Lisa…where have you been?"

"And why are you still in that T-Shirt, you should be getting ready to welcome the guests… plus your dad is really angry at you."

Lisa said as she smiled gleefully exposing her perfect dentition, which I now consider imperfect as I have learnt her true mission was to kill me.

All this while I was just staring at her as though I had seen a ghost.

Lisa was looking younger than I remembered and more beautiful, except her heart was now that of an evil murderous witch.

"Anna quit staring at me and let's go prepare for the guests from the Hunters pack."

Lisa said as she walked closer to me, as she was about to hug me, memories of how she had stabbed me in the heart via the same hug hit me like an earthquake and I immediately evaded her.

Stopping in her steps Lisa stared at me, her gaze was laced with surprise and confusion.

Stepping closer to me, Lisa asked, "What's wrong Anna… is everything okay?"

Is everything okay? You had just murdered me some moments ago and there you are asking me if there is anything wrong.

My thoughts went on a rampage as I managed to keep a natural face.

"Yes Lisa, Everything is alright, I am just practising my defensive and evasive manoeuvres."

I said, smiling gleefully as I stared at her dark and evil heart and pretended to be punching the air.

"Okay…that's gr…"

Immediately I interrupted her with a weird question, "Sorry Lisa, What year is this?"

My voice was barely above whispers but you could feel the energy in my voice.

Lisa turned and stared at me as though I was crazy.

"I really don't get you Anna…first you ran out on Eric the moment he just marked you as his mate and now you are asking me what year it is."

Lisa said as she stared askance at me, the cold winds from the trees blew both our hairs in different directions.

Immediately we both packed our hair backwards as though we had planned it, as I stared at Lisa, it just dawned on me that I had been reborn into the past, into the very day that I had foolishly allowed Eric to mark me as his mate.

I touched my neck and there it was, I felt it.

As I was pondering on everything, the cold hands of my best friend touched my hands making me shudder in trepidation.

"Relax Anna, it's nothing, you have nothing to fear, I'm really glad you finally allowed Eric…Your mate…to mark you."

Lisa said, but as I gazed at her face I could see the disgust that her face wore as she mentioned Eric being my mate.

All I did was stare at her cold hand holding my wrist, my other fist was clenched as I was already wanting to slam her untrusted face against the oak tree behind her.

Just then Lisa left my hand slowly, "Yes, you actually asked me about the year we are currently in… this is 2021 and babe…I'm happy for you…I just hope someday I will find my mate…you are such a lucky wolf."

Lisa said pretentiously, little did she know that all her evil schemes had been exposed, alongside that of Eric.

As I tried to remember what happened on this very day, I immediately remembered that today was the day I had run out on my dad Alpha Williams and nanny Julie, I disobeyed them and allowed that treacherous Eric to mark me as his mate.

But who could blame me, I was being deceived.

As I touched my raised skin where I was just marked, I could but feel only remorse for my foolishness.

Lisa, my former best friend, was also the one encouraging me to allow Eric to mark me, little did I know that it was all a ploy to kill not just me but my nanny Julie and my father.

"Anna, you look really worried, is it the wound from the mate mark? If you want I could come over and stay with you after the party."

Lisa said, appearing to care about me, while all she wanted was to kill me and have my position as the Luna of Blue Valley pack.

As I stared at her, I could only imagine how desperate she really was in need of this position that she actually convinced her true mate Eric to deceive me.

"Yes, Lisa I would love that, but I think my nanny Julie can handle all of that."

I said carefully as I maintained direct eye contact with her.

What Lisa didn't know is that I'm actually reliving my life, and this time I have actually got my eyes on her and I will make sure she, Eric and any other person who tries to hurt me or the people that I love will have a taste of their own medicine.

Lisa stared at me with her puppy best friend's eye that used to work on me, but not anymore, "C'mon just a few days with you is all I ask for before Eric finally gets you all for himself."

Her voice was mellifluous as she stared at me. For a moment I wanted to turn down her request the second time, but I then decided to let everything play out.

"Okay, we can hang out before Eric finally has me all to himself."

I said, swallowing a hard lump as I rethought what I had just said.

I will never let that murderous traitor touch me ever again.

My thoughts went on a rampage.

Lisa ran and hugged me and the only reason I cautiously returned the hug was because I had disposed of the dagger she had stabbed me with in my previous life far into the woods.

Breaking the hug almost immediately, I said, "Lisa please forgive my loss of memory, whose party are we having again?"

My voice was barely above whispers as I stared into Lisa's eyes.

Lisa gazed at me in surprise and touched my forehead with the back of her palm.

"Anna, I think you are running a fever or something… your dad just told you about the visit of Alpha Alfred of the Hunters pack and the other Alphas of the East end, they are coming to form an alliance or something."

Lisa said immediately refreshing my memory, I immediately remembered everything, it was on the same day that I had allowed Eric to mark me that I saw Alpha Alfred, my true mate.

It was exactly at this party that I saw the man that I hadn't waited for, the man that was to cherish me.

I just wished that the moon goddess had brought me a bit farther, maybe to the time I wasn't yet marked by Eric.

Nevertheless, I was determined to fix everything this time around, I thought to myself as I smiled subtly.

"Anna, why the sudden smile on your face as you heard of Alpha Alfred?"

Lisa questioned me almost immediately, her hands on her waist as she was already dressed for the party in a royal purple gown that really fitted her perfectly.

"It's nothing Lisa…I'm just excited to be attending another Eastend werewolves alliance party."

I said, smiling gleefully as we walked towards the pack house listing as usual, while I appeared clueless to any of Lisa and Eric's evil schemes.

As we approached the royal pack house, my gaze fell on my father, Alpha Williams, the man who had loved me and yet I disobeyed him and I'm now regretting my decision.

The man whom my foolish actions might have been one of the reasons for his unti
