NOAH The night was cold as I walked away from Sky, her angry words echoing in my mind. I’d pushed her away, told her to back off when, deep down, I knew she’d only wanted to help. But I couldn’t let her get involved, not with the risks we were up against. Nyx’s low growl rumbled in my mind, a reminder of his own disapproval. “You messed up, you know that?” Nyx muttered, his tone sharp with reprimand. “She’s stronger than you think, Noah.
