NARRATIVE POV
Carter arrived back at the apartment where he and Lindy lived. He couldn’t link her and tell her what was happening as they hadn’t marked her, and she had no wolf, so he was sure that she was pacing the polish off the floors, waiting for him to get home and update her on what was happening.
Their original departure day was set for the morning, but now that the council had asked for his help and the agreement, he had to convince her they were better off staying. It was their best chance of finding CC out in the rogue territory. A council-sanctioned search would be faster and more thorough than his searching bit by bit on his own.
He would also update her that the bullying should be stopped. After today, he’d kill anyone who threatened her for being wolfless.
