Sally reasoned that Loretta was referring to the man he saw on Manuel's phone as her father, she frowned at the thought of that. How could her step-sister's husband be a father to her daughter?

"Loretta, that's not your dad, he only looks like you," Sally said to Loretta with a smile on her face but Loretta's face was cold and dull.

"So where is my dad?" Loretta asked and folded her arms.

Sally let out a painful sigh and said," You'll meet your dad soon."

Velma saw that the atmosphere was dense so she tried to help the mother and daughter, "Since you will be staying here for a while, I can help Loretta get a kindergarten,"

"Oh! I'll be grateful," Sally said and stood, "where can Loretta sleep, she needs rest."

Velma led them to one of the rooms in the house that she believed was best for them. Sally left Loretta after ensuring she slept and then went to meet Velma.

"Sally, where is the girl's father? are you hiding him from her?" Velma whispered so Loretta would not hear.

Sally went to sit in the living room and rested her chin on her lap, "It's complicated."

"Would you mind telling me? is her father a beast? maybe he would hurt you when he sees her?" Velma asked, she had all sorts of assumptions in her head.

"Velma, I don't even know her father," Sally said and shook her head, she was foolish to have trusted her step-sister and followed her to the party five years ago.

"What are you talking about? you mean you did not know which of the men, whose sperm became that of Loretta?" Velma asked, she had thought that Sally probably slept with the men and that she did not know which of the men owned Sally.

"Common Velma, I was never a slut," she rebuked and explained how it all happened to Velma.

Velma understood and clenched her fist angrily at the thought of what her sister did," your sister… I don't like her."

"Same here, I want to get a job first before finding her and reclaiming what belongs to my mother. Can you believe they sold my father's house already and her mother had the effrontery to be living in my mother's house," Sally shook her head.

Nothing can stop her from retrieving her mother's house.

When it was the following day, Velma took Loretta to a kindergarten, the proprietor had told her that the prize of the School fee for a term is $15,000. Although it was expensive, Velma determined in her heart to help her friend with part of the school fee.

She also wanted Loretta to attend one of the best schools in the city. She promised to pay it up at the end of that month, she waved goodbye to Loretta and left.

Loretta didn't concentrate at work, most of the elementary stuff being taught by the teacher was what she already knew, and she was super smart and intelligent.

When it was break period, Loretta alongside other kids was given the privilege to play around the compound of the kindergarten.

Loretta sat by a chair that was beside a flower and watched as many kids played.

'Many of them have a father except her,' Loretta thought sadly. All of a sudden, a sports car drove in alongside three other cars.

Many security men came down from the car and the door was opened for a man in the outstanding car to walk out, the slender legs of the man were revealed before his face was revealed.

The man had been sent to inspect the school, although he was a CEO of his own company, he was also a minister of works for the government.

As the man approached with heavy security men, Loretta stood from her seat, it was because the man looked familiar to her.

Those soldiers did not allow her to see the man's face clearly, but she was very desperate, she ran and struggled to see the man's face but the security men didn't allow her, they saw her as a kid and cautioned her to stay away.

Loretta kept trailing them and when they got to the proprietor's office, the proprietor of the kindergarten and the man exchanged a few words after which some men in suits walked around the school to survey it.

All this took less than five minutes, and the man turned and started walking back to his car, Loretta kept struggling but in the end, she felt like there was no way she would see the man so she shouted," Dad!"

Her tiny voice could not be heard very well, so she rushed to the soldiers behind the man and shouted again," Dad,"

This time, the man paused in his tracks, who was the little girl calling unto her dad? he turned and the soldiers paved the way for him to see the little girl shouting 'dad.'

Everyone knows the man only had a son that his wife bore for him but who was this little girl calling him 'dad?'

When everyone focused their attention on the girl, they were all surprised. Probably because of her exceptional beauty or because she looked exactly like the minister of works.

The man looked intently at the girl who looked exactly like him and placed a call across to Manuel, he ordered him to come to where he was quick.

While he was waiting for Manuel, he walked to the girl and said," Little girl, are you calling me dad?"

Loretta smiled again, she was so happy to see the man she believed was her dad.

"I'm Loretta, what of you Daddy? what's your name?" the little girl stretched her small hands.

The man chuckled on the inside of him and felt happy even though he had no idea if the child was his but he loved the child with passion already," I'm Willard," Willard shook the tiny hand of the girl with his big palm.

"Nice meeting you, daddy," Loretta was smiling and was very happy. She wasn't fond of smiling.

When Manuel appeared, he was shocked to see the girl and his boss having a conversation, he rushed to Willard and said," She's the girl at the airport, she's the beautiful girl that looks like you, let's perform a DNA quick, I think she might yours."

At that time, a woman entered the compound, she had come to check her daughter in school. It was Sally.
