Sally who was happy a few seconds ago suddenly became sad, her happy expression disappeared at once.
"Sally, what's the call about?" Velma asked, she knew something was wrong but she couldn't figure it out.
"I just got fired," Sally broke the sad news. Her heart constricts against her ribcage cage. She felt hopeless and thought about Loretta.
She had thought that she would now be able to take good care of her daughter since she had secured a good job but all her aspirations are gone now.
Velma was finding it hard to believe what was going on, her friend just gotten employed and all of a sudden got fired.
She placed a call across at once to her uncle, it rang severally but Joe didn't pick up.
The two women sat inside the car silently, there was a cloud of sadness hovering over them.
While Velma was trying to figure out what happened, her phone rang. Seeing that it was Uncle Joe, she answered at once "Uncle Joe, why did Sally get fired!" she was already crying for her friend.
"I almost lost my job, what offence did your friend commit against our CEO?" he asked.
Offence? Velma thought and remembered that Sally had told Manuel to tell Willard to go to hell. Could it be that Manuel was foolish enough to deliver the message to Willard the same way Sally said it?
"Are you still on the line?" Uncle Joe asked.
"I'll get back to you, uncle," Velma hung up.
"Sally, did you know who the CEO of the company is?" Velma asked her but she shook her head slowly.
Although tears were not dropping from Sally's face, her eyes were soggy and her heart was sinking into a bottomless abyss.
"Mr. Willard, the man who looked like your daughter," Velma said and Sally's eye furrowed at once.
"Huh! he's the one?" Sally asked, that was when what Manuel had said when describing Mr Willard flashed across her memory.
OMG! arghhh…"I guess it's because of the message I sent to him," Sally lamented and felt bad.
"Just drive home, I'll look for another job," Sally said and Velma began to drive.
Sally drove Velma's car inside Loretta's school, but she didn't see Loretta in her class so she asked her teacher, " Has my daughter gone to the toilet?"
"Did you remember that minister that was speaking with your daughter the last time you came here?" the teacher asked.
"I do, how about him?" Sally questioned.
"Well, he came with the cops and took Loretta, he said he's Loretta's father and he even showed us DNA proof, so we have no choice but to let him go with Loretta," the teacher said.
Wasn't this the bastard that just fired her? now he took her daughter. She smirked like a woman going crazy. She clenched her fist in anger and wished she could see this bastard.
She didn't even know his house. Sally walked to her and placed a call across to Manuel.
"Is this Miss Sally?" Manuel knew she would call so he was prepared.
"Your daughter is with your boss, right?"
Sally asked in anger.
"Of course, it's not a big deal for a father to be with his daughter, is it?" Manuel teased playfully.
"I don't want to be rude, Mr. Manuel but that man is not a father to my daughter, send me the address to his house," Loretta said.
"Oh! Miss Sally is gladly welcome. Don't worry about the address, I'll come to wherever you are to pick you up," Manuel said.
"Don't bother, I do have a car of my own, just send me the address," Sally said. She can't wait to see that bastard who fired her and took her daughter away from school.
"A car! sorry, but you can't carry that Nissan Versa to Mr. Willard's villa. It's so ridiculous. I'm coming with my Lamborghini to pick you up," Manuel said and hung up.
Sally looked around and wondered how Manuel knew the car with her was a Nissan Versa. If the personal assistant is this arrogant, how will his boss be?
Sally waited anyway and five minutes later, a Lamborghini drove in, Manuel got down at once and said," Mr. Willard can not wait to see your beautiful face."
He opened the door of the car to Sally but before Sally got inside the car, she said," And I can't wait to see his ugly face."
Manuel smiled playfully, as he drove, he knew that Sally was angry so he wanted to calm her down before she met his boss," Who would have known that the great Mr. Willard and you were once lovers, you even got pregnant for him."
"Nonsense! I can never be a lover with that man, not in the past, not in the future, not even know, I hate him with passion," Sally answered furiously.
"But my boss always loves to behold your picture, he always tells me how much he loves you," Manuel lied.
"It must be another woman, not me. I'll deal with your boss today for having the gut to take my daughter even after I've warned him not to," Sally said.
"I think Miss Sally is angry because Mr Willard fired her from his company, and I guess it was because Miss Sally has sent a message to Mr Willard to go to hell, I think Miss Sally is arrogant, unlike Mr Willard, a very gentle and loving man," Manuel said.
He continued," If Miss Sally's dream of marrying my boss would come to reality, she must learn to talk politely."
"I can tell that there is no difference between you and your boss, arrogant and proud, I'll say this again, both of you can go to hell. Are we almost there?" Sally questioned.
"We are there already," Manuel answered and drove inside Mr. Williard's villa.
