Ten lighting strikes

It was evening when Gu Junxiu woke up, her head was hurting much more than she care to imagined. She pushed herself to get up and go to the pool to take a bath. She dipped herself in the warm water and felt better. She recalled her conversation with the the Lord and shivered. "When did I even say that she was in a relationship with the Lord. I only said that he saw potential in me and that so how can he treat me like that," she complained. "The way you said it gave off the impression that both of you were lovers. You should that a lady should not just say things as such about an opposite gender. Society will always find a line to read between even there is none," said Ting ting. "That is absolutely not true," she said defending herself. "Then why is news going around that you are the Lord's lover?" he asked her. "What!" she screamed at the top of your her voice. She couldn't believe what he said to her. "The news has spread around the place and now the whole kingdom if not the entire kingdom that you are the Lord's lover," he said calmly as though explaining it to a child. "How can that happen it has only been a few hours since I said those things," she complained. "Don't forget it is the Lord you spoke about, it was bound to happen. Anything that involves important figures doesn't take that much time to be known by people," he said. Gu Junxiu got ready and had her things packed and ready for the trip to the new school. Hopefully life will become easier over there and she will be able to fit in. Because so far it has been one disaster after another, she wasn't even failing at being a girl which is what she has been since she was born. She wanted nothing more than to work hard and level up so that she can go to heavens. Even if she can't become a tier then she can at least ask the Emporer to open a door for her that leads back home. There was no way the Lord was going to help her after what she had done to his name. She packed her necessitiess and left things she didn't think she needed. She received an celestial ring from the Lord with strict warning not to reveal it's existence to anyone. With the way there conversation went earlier she didn't dare take his words lightly and hid the ring at the bottom of her belongings. "If the ring goes missing the Lord won't spare you. Not even the Overlords of this continent can afford such a ring. It has a lot of treasures that you can use to your advantage during your journey as a cultivator." "What do you suggest I do then ALL WISE TALKING FOX?" she asked sarcastically. "Wear it," he said. "Oh, sure because no one is going to see it when I wear it and model it around," she said. "I was not done talking, you could disguise it as an old ring," he said with just as much mockery like she did. "How do I do that," she asked excited like a little child who has been promised a candy. "At your level you can't but I can. Put it in and I will do the rest," he said and she obeyed. He closed his and the ring became a ruby ring that neither looked new nor old. It looked so simple that she gazed in awe at the fox. "What level are you in?" she inquired. "I am a sacred nine tailed fox," he said expecting her to know his rank but she still looked at him waiting for him to tell her. "You are smart, you will figure it out," he said and went back to sleep. He didn't understand why the Lord chose her to work for him. She was completely oblivious to the world they lived in, it will be a miracle if she survived long enough to age another year. He was going to have a long year ahead of him and that he was sure of. Gu Junxiu finished packing and had her dinner. As Ting ting had said she was really oblivious, she didn't even know that their was a party at her own home to say goodbye to them. She changed her robe and went to sleep and prepared to sleep. Their was a knock at her window and she got up to check. She opened the window and was met with yet another handsome young man. She didn't want to assume his age because people in this world seem to control their aging. Not every young looking man was young at all so she just assumed he was young to not make their meeting weird. "Want to go for a ride?" he asked her and she knitted her eyebrows. Didn't people of this world have a watch, it was late and he is asking her to go for a ride. "I don't even know you," she said trying to refuse him politely. "You have the chance to right now," he said. "What will we even ride?" she asked out of curiosity hoping he would say something like a unicorn. This world was full of crazy things that it really won't surprise her. "My sword of course, I am an armament cultivator," he said and she had no idea what he meant but sh nodded her head. She thought why not and he helped her get out through the window. "What do we do now?" she asked and he took her hand and told her how to stand on his sword and he stood behind her. He directed some of his Qi into the sword and it lifted off to the sky. Gu Junxiu bit back a scream of excitement and enjoyed the ride. The cold breeze hit her face making her feel amazing. Life in this place was awesome as long as you have powers and know how to control it. One day she too will become powerful and fly on her own she vowed. She put her hand out like rose did on the Titanic and felt like she could fly. She felt all her worries being washed away by the wind. "Hold on I am going to land," he said and she held him. He landed smoothly, it was near a lake that was different from the one she saw last time. "Come with me I have to show you something," he said and held his hand out for her to hold. She took his hand and followed him. She led her up a tall hill until the top and told her to look down. There were many blinking lights that looked like the night sky was in the ground. It was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. "But who are you?" she asked enjoying the view down below. "My name is Ji woo," he said and she nodded. He expected more reaction from her after hearing his name but it didn't happen. She had no idea who he was. "Do you know who I am now?" he asked. "Not really, I just know your name. You will have to tell me more about you if you wish for me to know you," she said not looking away from the beauty down below. "Can I also ask you a question?" he asked and she agreed. "What is your relationship with the Lord?" he asked and she froze. She remembered the Lord's words and trembled. "Nothing, I don't have any relationship with him," she said to remain safe but just then lighting started forming right in the sky and headed towards her. "You are the Lord's disciple refusing him bluntly is punishable by ten lightning strikes. And these are heavenly strikes they will shatter your soul across the world and you will never be whole again take your words back!" screamed Ting ting in one breath. "I take my words back," she screamed and the fox wished the ground would swallow him for having met such a dumb girl. "I think what the voice meant was that you have to say you are the Lord's disciple," said Ji woo. "I am the Lord's disciple!" she screamed louder than before. The thought of being shattered across the world terrified her. The lighting died down slowly and disappeared. "That was a close call," said Ji woo. "Yes, it was. Let's just focus on something else and not think about that please," she pleaded and he agreed.
