How a lady should behave

1555 Words
Sun hee was speechless, apparently people here do not grow old. The handsome man who was questioning her was her father, someone should really make some rules around here. How can her father be so handsome and so young? It was just wrong how this world ran, had she not been told that he was three hundred years old she would not have believed them. She was having her food in the room with everyone including the Emporer but the problem was that she was the only one who was eating. Everyone else was busy looking at her with shock. They had never seen anyone eat the way she did, she ate with her fingers and even licked them. The general felt so ashamed at how his daughter was behavior but consoled himself by thinking that it was normal. Since she came back to life from the brink of death it is only fair that she would behave differently. He told himself that she will go back to normal soon, little did he know that his daughter was no more and that the girl in her place. Is a middle class girl from the twenty first century who has never learned etiquette in all her life. Sun hee enjoyed her food but eventually became conscious about herself with all the stares she was receiving. Ting ting spoke to her through their link. "You do know that you are portraying a barbarian's behavior right now. Eat like a lady you fool," he said clearly enjoying how she was making a fool of herself. "How in the world is a lady supposed to eat?" she asked herself in her mind. "Simple pick up the napkin on the table and spread it on your lap," he instructed her and she followed suit. "Okay now make sure that the distance between your hands and chest is only an inch and nothing wider," he said and she did. "Now reach out for your spoon and and while you eat ensure that the spoon is half full. It is unlady like to a mouthful of food," he said and she complied. Soon everyone else started eating too, she felt relieved they stopped watching her but she was hungry and being a lady was not helping. She was eating super slowly and her hands were getting tired of being only an inch from her chest. She hated every minute of her lunch, back home she never had to deal with such nonsense but now. She ate her food and when she was done she got up to leave when she heard Ting ting's voice in her head. "Sit down you i***t, you haven't wiped your mouth yet. And it a rule that men should the table before the men on normal occasions let alone when the Emporer is around. Don't you know any manners, leaving the table before the Emporer is punishable by kneeling in front of the palace for two hours," he said. "That doesn't sound so bad," she said to him sitting back down. "Of course it is not that bad because there is nothing wrong about kneeling on top of red hot soil that burns every inch of for two hours," he said calmly. "What!" she screamed out loud getting the attention of everyone who looked at her. Mrs.Gu and her daughter Gu Jun Hee we're very surprised at Gu Junxiu's behavior. Ever since she woke she was no longer the shy weak girl that they knew. This girl looked at people directly in the eyes and also didn't seem shy at all. She talked with people and even screamed at the table with the Emporer present. "What happened Junxiu?" her father asked her and everyone watched her keenly waiting to hear her reply. She swallowed hard and wished the ground would swallow her up. Ever since she woke up here she has been getting into awkward moments such as this and she hated it. "Nothing father I just had a glimpse of the darkness I was stuck in before and it terrified me do I screamed," she said improvising on a lie. She already found out that the owner of the body she was currently using had been bed ridden for a long time. Everyone gave her a sympathetic look which she didn't like but it was better than all the looks they have given her so far. She wiped her mouth and waited for men to the men to leave. They all finished their food and left the room. She got up to leave but her mother stopped her in her tracks. "Would you care for some tea?" she asked and she wanted to refuse but Ting ting told her that it was rude to refuse a tea invitation. She couldn't help but curse the person who came up with such stupid rules but Ting ting stopped her again informing her the Lord made all the rules. And He can read people's thoughts so she should be careful of how she pictures him in her mind. She accepted the invite and joined her mother and sister for some tea. "So tell me dear, how was your encounter with the Lord?" she asked and Sun hee thought of the moment that she had arrived in this place. The man in white with the mask and trembled, that man made her come close to death by just standing next to her. She could only imagine why he was a Lord, his strength was not ordinary. He also knew that she wasn't the owner of this body when everyone else couldn't tell. "It was unforgettable," she replied truthfully. She was never going to forget that man and even now that she worked for him. But she was happy she worked for him because then she could ask him for an employee bonus of sending her back home. "That is nice but don't you think that your talented sister deserved that chance more than you?" she asked and Sun hee just nodded so the conversation could end. She needed to go find Ting ting and have him track the Lord for her so they can discuss important matters. He was a gift from him so he should know where to find the Lord. "Then don't you think that it is your job to clear the misunderstanding. It is clear that your sister deserves to be the Lord's disciple and get a sacred beast. You should get in contact with the Lord and set things right," she said and Sun hee's mind finally registered what she was trying to tell her. She couldn't believe that her own mother was asking her to give up her blessings for her sister. No it did not sit well with her that she was playing favourites. "Yes, but mother if sister was really as talented as you say then she would have been selected by the Lord. She wouldn't need me to intervene to help her," she said taking a sip of her tea. Mrs.Gu who was never used to Junxiu taking back at her was shocked at her come back. Gu Jun hee lost her mind hearing what Sun hee had to say. "Excuse me, but the Lord didn't pick you for your talents you useless girl. He must have felt sorry got you and that is why he did, after all who would even spare an ugly duckling like you a glance," she said in anger. That statement hurt her feelings, she had taken a look at her body earlier and it wasn't much but that didn't mean that she would allow anyone to talk down to her. "Too bad because the Lord didn't just spare me a glance but looked at me for a long time. He choose me as his disciple and gave me a beast as a gift and blessed me in the name of the heavens," she gloated away and even forgot what she was trying to say and start talking non-sense . She didn't realize that she had accidentaly implied that she and the Lord we're having an affair. The clouds started getting darker and darker until there was nothing to see. Sun hee stopped talking and froze, she didn't like that everything had turned or the fact that she was alone in the dark. She called out to her mother and sister but none replied. She called out to the fox but he didn't respond to her. "Stop screaming no one can hear you," she heard and took a defensive position. "Who is there?" she asked feeling frightened. No one answered her but the next minute she went down on her knees when she could no longer keep herself up due to the pressure she received. She had an idea of who it was that she was taking to. Her nose started bleeding but the Lord didn't stop his energy from flowing freely. "You are my disciple and that means I expect you to act accordingly. That does not mean that you can go around telling people that I fancy you or that we have any other relationships. I will forgive you this once but never again," he said and vanished. Sun hee fainted at the garden and General Gu got her taken to her room.
