Marissa.

WILLOWS P.O.V. 

“You guys!” I yelled at them after hanging up with Luka. 

“Oh my gosh calm down, Flower.” Jess said making googly eyes at me  

“It's not cute when you guys say it” I said pouting  

“Oh god enough about Luka!” Jason yelled quieting the laughter in the room.  

“Jason, why don’t you and I go get some food?” Jess said to him sternly basically demanding him.  

“I think I'm good” Jason said putting his head down 

“No, I don’t think you are” Jess said grabbing his arm and dragging him out of the room.  

“They didn’t even ask if we wanted anything” Alyssa whined.  

“I don’t think they are actually going to get food, and if they are they will bring something back for us” I said happily.  

The girls and I talked a lot and I thought maybe I would text Luka and apologize for what happened while we were on the phone.  

‘Hey, I’m really sorry for what happened. Everyone has been all over me since I got here; They almost killed me yesterday.’ 

‘Hey no its okay, don’t apologize for having fun with your friends’ he replied back almost instantly  

‘Wait what do you mean they almost killed you?’ He texted again 

‘Oh, just dog piled on top of me. And can I just say you have quite the reputation around here’ I said again 

‘Oh no’ ‘I hope it’s all good things’ He said again, in double texts 

‘Well, all of them are about you being hot’ I said chuckling to myself.  

“What are you laughing about?” Megan asked 

“Nothing” I quickly replied and locked my phone 

“Mmhmm, I think you are texting Luka” Megan said again with a smile on her face  

“Maybe” I said rolling my eyes. 

“Give me the phone” Megan said quickly trying to grab it out of my hand 

“Never!” I yelled and ran around the room 

“Alyssa grab that phone!” Megan yelled as they tried to corner me 

Meanwhile elsewhere in the hospital  

JESS’S P.O.V. 

“You are such a f*****g i***t!” I yelled at Jason as I pulled him out into the hallway 

“What did I do this time?!” He snapped back at me  

“First of all, lose the f*****g tude.” I said putting my hands on my hips and then pushing him forcing him to walk. Jason maybe a lot taller than me and have more muscle but I still push him around time to time since I'm a day older.  

“I don’t have an attitude” Jason said quickly dropping his voice a few octanes.  

“Listen dude, I know you still love Willow but you got to stop obsessing over her relationship with Luka. You are mated!” I said hitting him in the arm  

“Don’t you think I know that Jess!” Jason snapped at me again  

“I think you know and you just don’t care. I understand you love Willow but she's already told you, that you weren’t meant for her. Let her be happy for once in her life Jason!” I yelled at him making everyone look at us. Luckily there were only a few people around as we made our way into the café. 

“She will never be happy with that man w***e” Jason said sneering at me 

“I don’t think you have a right to judge anyone based on the s**t you went through before you were mated with Marissa.” I said shrugging my shoulder  

“I don’t think you have any right to talk either” Jason said glaring at me 

“Listen Jason, sooner or later you have to realize that just because you love her, doesn’t mean she won't choose her destined mate over you” I said picking up a few pizzas and paying as we walked towards the café doors 

“I know this Jess, but she hasn’t found her mate yet so I still have a chance.” Jason said walking next to me 

“Dude, you are mated!” I yelled in his face 

“What part of being mated and MARKED, do you not understand?!” I yelled again nearing the hall willow was in 

“I know, I just can’t help myself.” He said looking down 

“Jason, maybe it would be better if you just left Willow alone until you can control your feelings for her.” I suggested looking at him with understanding eyes. 

“I can’t, even if I wanted to. I was told to stay with Willow until Mindy and Ron got back tomorrow. Luna’s orders” Jason said looking at me in the eyes, pleading with me to understand.  

“Okay, then tomorrow. You leave, and you don’t come back until you can control yourself!” I said again walking towards Willow’s door.  

“Jess, wait” Jason said as I reached for the door handle. 

“What?” I asked and quickly pulled my hand back 

“I don’t think I can leave her until she leaves. But I promise to be understanding of her feelings towards Luka and I'll keep my thoughts and feelings to myself from now on” Jason said giving me a look of reassurance.  

“Okay, if you feel like you can be alone with her and not pounce on her. Then I accept” I said reaching for the handle again.  

“Thank you” Jason said to me lowly  

“Always, I’m always happy to put you in your place Jason” I said smiling and opening the door.  

Hopefully he listens this time instead of driving Willow further away from him. Or even worse, us. I opened the door but found something I really wasn’t expecting.  

WILLOW’S P.O.V. 

After 10 minutes of being chased around the hospital room, I finally just gave in. I was tired and wanted food. I sat on the bed with my arms crossed pouting while Megan and Alyssa went through my messages with Luka; Until he texted back and they refused to give me my phone back I got up and started chasing them instead. 

“GIVE IT BACK!” I yelled and whined  

“We just want to see what it says.” Megan said quickly trying to look at it 

“You can read it after I do!” I yelled again running for my phone  

“What the hell is happening?” Jason said as him and Jess opened the door.  

“I was texting Luka” I said but was quickly cut off  

“Lukaaaaa” Megan and Alyssa said quickly in a moaning voice  

“Anyways” I said rolling my eyes 

“And they took the phone from me after making me run around the room for 10 minutes and went through our messages, now he texted back and won't give me my phone back” I looked at Jess pleading for help 

“OOOO let me see!” Jess yelled and quickly took the phone from Megan  

“I just wanna know what is says” I whined and quickly got a look from Jason  

“I'll read it out loud” Jess said quickly opening the phone and reading the message  

“So, what do you think Flower, Am I hot?” Jess said making a seductive eye roll  

“Give it back” I said and quickly snatched the phone from her hands and sat on the make shift bed on the ground  

All the girls sat around me and Jason sat beside me looking over at me. The girls were beside me and behind me, anywhere they could get a good look at my phone.  

“So, what are you going to say?” Jess asked quickly  

“I don’t f*****g know” I said rolling my eyes.  

“Well do you think he’s hot?” Megan asked  

“Well duh!” I said laughing  

“Then tell him yes” Alyssa said nudging my shoulder  

“I don’t want to seem desperate” I said hanging my head back  

“Tell him, you think he’s handsome.” Jason said which shocked all of us. He looked up and saw all of our mouths open 

“What?” Jason said looking back at us.  

“I didn’t think you would say anything positive about me talking to Luka.” I said meeting his gaze 

“Well, I’m trying to be supportive. Tell him you think he’s handsome, Men rarely get called that and it's nice to hear it once in a while" Jason said smiling  

“Okay...” I said looking down at my phone typing  

‘I think you are handsome’ I typed quickly  

‘I don’t think a girl has ever said that to me’ he quickly responded  

‘Well, it's true’ I responded quickly.  

By this time Jason was sitting right next to me reading what was being said. 

‘Thank you, Flower. I think you are beautiful. In every aspect of the word.’ He replied.  

My face started to turn ten shades of red, I could feel my face getting hot and a smile I didn’t realize had formed. I didn’t think I could love anyone after what happened, but I feel like Luka is different. And in 4 days I’ll find out when I turn 18, I will finally have a mate.  

“Willow, your face” Jess said pointing at me making everyone stare 

“Thanks Jess, like I couldn’t feel it!” I yelled quickly  

“Okay, Photo time!” Jess yelled and made me put my phone down and scootch into everyone.  

“SMILE” she yelled as the camera snapped; We spent 20 minutes taking random photos.  

‘Sorry, Jess made me take like 800 pictures’ I quickly texted Luka when I was done.  

‘It’s okay Flower, I'm glad one of us is having fun.’ He texted back  

‘You, okay?’ I asked quickly my attention on my phone 

‘Yeah Flower, just missing sleeping beside you’ He answered  

“Aww that’s so sweet” Jess said from behind me. I hadn't even realized she was standing there still taking phots of me as my face turned red again.  

‘I miss sleeping beside you to’ I texted him back and looked up at Jess who had a smile on her face. And love in her eyes. I knew she was happy I found someone I finally liked but she also wasn’t surprised. We always made jokes as kids about Luka and I being mates one day; Who knows, maybe it will actually come true  

“Movie time?” Jess asked me handing me a piece of pizza and a jar with a bunch of tiny pieces of paper in it. We all fought over the first few movies so Jess made us all put suggestions in the jar and then we all got to pick one.  

“Yes” I said and grabbed the pizza and took a piece of paper out of the jar.  

“Well, what is it?” She quickly asked 

“The notebook” I said quickly and looked at Jason. It was my favorite movie before I went missing, I would watch it all the time and wish for a love like that and I knew without a doubt he put it in there.  

‘Hey, we are about to watch a movie so I probably won't text you back...I’m sorry.’ I texted quickly  

‘It’s okay, no worries. Have fun with your friends I'll be there tomorrow to spend time with you.’ Luka answered quickly  

‘Okay, goodnight then’ I texted back  

‘Goodnight my Flower’ He texted back almost the same time I did. My heart started racing and my breath caught in the back of my throat as I read that message. Could he actually like me? I was pulled away from my thoughts  

“Ready?” Jess asked everyone 

“Yeah” We all yelled in unison 

I sat beside Jay and Jess and on the other side of Jess was Megan and then Alyssa.  

We sat and ate Pizza, watched a few more movies and slowly ended up drifting off to sleep one by one. I passed out before Jay and Jess, and actually felt my head lean over onto Jasons shoulder and he just wrapped his arm around me and held me close before I fully drifted off to sleep.  

JASON’S P.O.V. 

Once Willow had fully fallen asleep, I sat there waiting for a while before I saw the door crack open and Marissa pop her head in and lock eyes with me. I looked at Jess and she nodded her head, I quickly moved Willows head from my shoulder to Jess’s shoulder; and moved my body out from under the covers and headed to the door. By the time I got there Marissa was already halfway down the hall and I ran to catch up to her.  

“Marissa wait!” I yelled trying to catch up to her, for a small woman she walks fast.  

“What!” She yelled back at me; I could tell she was mad  

“Stop and listen to me” I said in a calm voice after finally catching up to her and grabbing her shoulder. 

“What Jason? What could you possibly say to make this situation better?” She yelled at me 

“Marissa, calm down and let's talk” I said calmy again  

“Jason, for the past two nights I have seen you basically cuddling with Willow and I have barley seen you at all!” She said angrily  

“I have strict orders from the Luna, riss. I can’t just go away and leave Willow.” I answered casually. 

“Strict orders my ass Jason! You just want to be around her because you love her more!” She yelled in a cold tone 

“I do not love Willow, Marissa. I chose you; I am mated to you. You would feel everything if I did.” I said sternly  

“I do feel it, Jason! Every time she makes your heart beat a little faster!” She yelled coldly” 

“Marissa, sometimes other people make my heart beat a little faster to. It’s not just Willow. And I understand how you feel with Willow being around; but you have to trust me” I said calmy holding her shoulders  

“I do trust you Jason, I don’t trust her” she said pushing me back and going to walk off. 

“What do you mean you don’t trust her? Why don’t you trust her?” I asked grabbing her arm and pulling her back to me 

“She gets in your head Jason; she makes you think that you love her; which in all honestly you don’t ever talk about her!” She yelled again, this time I heard a door open behind me and it didn’t take a rocket scientist know it was Willows room.  

“She doesn’t make me think I love her Riss, I love you. You are my mate; Willow was just a fling I had in the past. I understand being upset over our friendship but you don’t get that way with Jess, so why Willow?” I said with a tone of irritation  

“Because, Willow and you were inseparable before she went missing. Now that she is back it's like she never left and you are literally with her all the f*****g time Jason, I can't ever get a word in edge wise!” She said embarrassed pulling away from me  

“I’m almost happy she went missing, wish she wouldn’t have come back!” she yelled apathetically looking down the hall at Willows open door, I turned around to see Jess and Willow. Willows eyes were sad but Jess’s eyes were black with Rage.  

“You are a cruel b***h” Jess said walking towards Marissa, eyes still black. Willow following close behind trying to stop her 

“You think that was cruel?” Marissa asked, digging her hole even deeper 

“I wish she would have died in that house; I wish Luka never would have found her” Marissa said sneering at Jess with a smirk on her face and before I could react Jess was already past me and had Marissa by her throat against the wall.  

“Jess stop. She isn’t worth it!” Willow yelled trying to pull her off 

“Oh, so I'm not allowed to kill the b***h who probably had you stolen anyways!” Jess yelled in Marissa’s face 

“I didn’t but I might just have to now” Marissa muttered 

“Now I'm going to kill you” Jess sneered.  

I stood there frozen; I didn’t know what do to. I didn’t know who Marissa had become in the span of two days. She was a completely different person and I was just shocked on who she is now. Before I could even do anything, Willow backed up and I wasn’t sure what she was doing, she took a deep breath and suddenly a loud roar shook the whole hall way. Luckily it was just Willow in this hallway, it wasn’t very long or had many rooms and it was just for people who are recovering.  

“ENOUGH!” Willow screamed  

Shocked everyone stopped and looked at her 

“This is f*****g ridicules. Marissa I'm sorry you don’t trust me. But I have already established boundaries with Jay and have made it clear that he is mated and marked and I will not touch him like that. Ever since I got here you have done nothing but cause problems and I don’t understand what I did to make you hate me!” Willow yelled directly at her. Meeting her gaze and not daring to back down. Before she could even respond she looked at Jess who just looked at her confused.  

“I understand you hate the way she talks about me and the way she treats me, but that is not a reason to grab her by her throat or assault her, I love you Jess; but sometimes you take standing up for me to far” Willow said looking at Jess with pleading eyes.  

“And You!” She yelled looking at me 

“Stop this whole ‘strict orders’ Yes Aunt Mindy told you to stay with me, but if it is seriously f*****g up your relationship this much just leave, okay?! I’ll be fine and Luka will stay with me tomorrow until I leave, I will be fine without you. I held my own for 5 goddamn years, and I'll be dammed if I need a man to keep me safe now.” She said glaring at me 

“Willow, he actually can’t If Aunt Mindy did tell him to stay with you at night, he will be forced to stay until she returns tomorrow.” Jess said looking at me 

“Okay, then you leave tomorrow unless Marissa is comfortable with you staying.” Willow said meeting my gaze.  

“I’m comfortable with it as long as Luka will be there, and as long as I'm allowed to” She said confidently 

“You literately just said you wish I had died and now you're asking for a sleepover? No f*****g way dude. Jay, you go home with Marissa tomorrow.” Willow said looking between us 

“Stop calling him that, He hates being called Jay” Marissa said rolling her eyes at Willow 

“Do you hate it when I call you that Jason?” Willow asked confused  

I didn’t hate it when she called me it, or when anyone did really. Just after Willow went missing, I couldn’t stand the thought of anyone else saying it.  

“I don’t hate it when you call me it Willow, it just hurt when someone else did after you went missing” I said looking down and rubbing the back of my neck 

“Okay then, I’m going back to bed then. Goodnight, everyone!” Willow said turning her heal and walking away.  

“Get that dog on a leash Jason!” Jess said snapping at me as she walked by heading back to the room 

“What the f**k Jay?” Marissa asked me throwing her arms up 

“Stop. I will stay with Willow until she leaves, whenever that may be. You will fix whatever you got going on in your goddamn head, whether it be with therapy or whatever else you need. f*****g fix it Riss, I'm done doing this competition between you and Willow. You are my mate and I love you; But I hate when you act like this. It isn't who you are Marissa, so fix it!” I said sneering at her and walking back to Willow’s room.  

When I opened the door, I saw Jess sitting on the bed with Willow nowhere in sight.  

“Where is she?” I asked Jess cautiously 

“She’s in the bathroom” She answered without even looking at me 

“I’m sorry, okay?” I said quickly  

“Sorry for what?” Jess said ironically  

“Sorry for Marissa being a b***h, I don’t know what's wrong with her.” I said walking over to the bed and sitting down so there was a space between Jess and I.  

“She’s insecure Jason.” Jess said taking me off guard. Just then the bathroom door opened and Willow came out. I could tell she was crying and trying to hide it. Jess and I just looked at her as she walked over and stood Infront of Jess for a minute.  

“Move over” Willow said looking at her 

“What?” Jess said confused 

“Move over” Willow answered and motioned her to move over. 

“Oh, okay” Jess said sliding closer to Megan 

“No, the other way i***t” Willow said pushing her legs towards me 

“Oooh, okay” Jess nodded and moved towards me.  

Willow laid down on the other side of Jess.  

“Really Willow?” I asked with a tone of irritation in my voice 

“Yep, I’m done making Marissa feel uncomfortable about you and I being friends. If she doesn’t want you around me then so be it.” She said quickly trying to hold back the tears.  

“It’s okay Willow, I put Marissa in her place. She is not going to stop me from being friends with you” I said reassuring her.  

“She will if I have anything to say about it” She answered quickly with a crack in her voice and rolled over.  

“Jess help me out here?” I asked quickly  

“Sorry but you know Willow, when she sets her mind to something.” Jess said and rolled over to cuddle Willow.  

This is so f****d up. I had thought about a lot. Everything with Marissa and Willow. Even about Jess and our conversation from earlier. I eventually drifted off to sleep slowly after lying awake for hours on end.
