36Next morning, Vince felt like he hadn’t slept at all. Exhausted. He struggled through the day and eventually made it home and collapsed on his couch, then cursed as his mobile disturbed his reverie. He glanced at the screen. Bloody Lydia! ‘I really don’t know what will become of them. Your pep talk was an abject failure—if anything they’re even worse!’ Vince winced and moved the phone further away from his ear. ‘Ivan says they need counselling before it’s too late.
