After the battle against the dire wolf, Oliver was able to realize something, "DON'T TELL ME THAT-!!?"
Suddenly, a pack of dire wolves surrounded the two of them. Although they were not exhausted from their battle, it was still very hard to win against a pack of these dire wolves.
"What do we do, Brother Oliver?" asked William as he began to sweat due to the situation.
As they were panicking, a notification bar from their system suddenly appeared in their sights.

The two kids looked at each other upon seeing the notification given by their system.
"You also got a-?" asked Oliver at the next moment.
"Yeah! Let's take a look as these wolves were still wary of us!" said William in response to his brother.

Upon seeing the punishment for failure, the two looked at each with a serious expression. At the next moment, they drew their weapons while waiting for the moves of the wolves that were surrounding them.
They had each other's back to protect themselves the wolves were still wary of them so they just growling as they slowly went to their side.
"We need to buy as much as the time that we could! Since the system said that, rescue would probably arrive at that time so we better hold on until then!" said Oliver with a serious expression.

A minute had passed away while the dire wolves slowly went toward the two. Now, they were completely surrounded from all sides. Oliver and William did not dare to move the whole time because they knew the risk of doing so in the current situation.
As they were guarding each other's back, one of the dire wolves decided to attack William. Using his dual sword, William stopped the movement of the dire wolf that attacks and uses the other sword to cut the neck of the dire wolf.
"This dire wolf is weaker than the one before! Is the first one we killed their leader?" asked William.
Oliver's expression suddenly changed upon seeing something. He said in response to William, "I don't think so! The one that we fought hard before is probably the young master of the bunch! I think that the devious one over there is the leader!"
William immediately glanced toward the direction that made Oliver shiver in fear. In there, he saw a huge dire wolf covered with dark miasma.
"s**t! What is that creature!? How can we hold against them and that monstrous beast!" said William as he looked at the leader of the dire wolves.
"Since everything went into this situation, the only thing that we can do is try our best! We have to survive because we need to reach the top with Sophia, boss, and the others!" said Oliver with a forced smile.
Upon seeing the determination of his brother, William's morale suddenly rose through the roof and he immediately strengthens his grip in his dual swords.
Upon killing the first dire wolves, the other beside it continued attacking them. Although they were still lacking in experience, they were able to defend and wound those beasts that tried to attack them.
After a few minutes, the exhaustion within these two children began to build up. William asked Oliver, "How many minutes we still have?"
Upon hearing him, Oliver shouted, "System! How much time until we finish this quest!?"
Suddenly, a notification bar appeared that says, [ Time: 4:30 left ]
"We still have more than four minutes before the quest ends! We are starting to feel the fatigue but that monster is still not making a move! It seems like it wanted to fight us when we are at our weakest so conserve energy as much as you can!" said Oliver as he panted a little.
"We just need to keep an eye on him! After all, if they gang up on us with that creature then the chance of our survival will be much reduced!" said William.
"Okay, then we just use this chance to scrape their number until that thing decided to make a move against us!" said Oliver with a resolute expression.
As soon as they agreed on that, they immediately began fighting even more fiercely than before. The casualty of the dire wolves began to pile up at a greater rate than before.
Seeing the two of them continually killing their brethren, the leader of the pack became enraged even more than before. At the next moment, it decided to make a move toward the two who were fighting.
"We made it angry at us! It's attacking now!" said William.
"I will hold that huge dire wolf by myself! Take care of these nobodies!" shouted Oliver upon seeing the situation.
Upon saying those words, he immediately charged toward the huge dire wolf with his daggers. All those who charged toward him were slashed to death by William without a second thought.
"I will guard your back so just charge ahead without a worry!" said Williams with a smile.
Oliver smiled at him in return and he said to him, "Thank you, brother! I will hold that creature until help arrives so you better hold on too!"
Upon saying those words, the two immediately went on their own task without any hesitation in his mind.
Despite the great between the strengths of Oliver and the leader of the dire wolves, he decided to use the agility given to him by his King's Shadow system. That's how he was able to damage the great dire wolf without getting hit by its mighty fangs.
After a few minutes, the fatigue that accumulated began to toll on Oliver's body so he began to pant very hard.
"s**t! What do I do!? System, how much time left before the quest finish?" shouted Oliver.
