News of the wall hurling in a storm reached the capital. Shaking the whole continent again, and I clearly remembered the occurrence before.
Because I was there.
I watched the wall unfolding, taking in my best friend into it.
And ever since, I had pledged to retrieve her, even the 'smallest' remnants of hers that were left behind.
To be a reminder of how much of a failure I am.
I failed to protect her.
I had failed her.
"IZAK!!!"
My attention snapped back to the back of the captain's Dragonoid. The horse-Dragon scaly skin was in jade black, shimmering as we sprinted to the wall.
"YES! CAPTAIN!"
"FOCUS ON THE MISSION! I DON'T WANT ANY DEAD MEN ON MY TEAM! DO YOU HEAR ME!" The captain bombarded us all, sprinting through the sky ahead of us.
