"Mikaela! Wait! Wait! Please!" I ran down the stairs, catching up to the Green haired silhouette. She halted abruptly, turning her heels to face me with a frown.
"What?!"
She hissed with gritted teeth. Her friends stopped a few steps ahead, eyeing me with emotions I did not want to decipher.
I panted for air and straightened my back.
"Why did you put up the challenge? Why did you choose us? Wysteria and me?" Why, Mikaela?!"
"It's none of your concern." Mikaela turned her back on me and shot straight at her friends.
"Mikaela!" I scampered and grabbed hold of her wrist.
