~Wysteria POV~ "Are you nuts?!" My hand went to Elena's mouth. Cupping her and pressing her down onto the bed. Her hands wailed up to be freed. "Shh, keep it down." I eyed the door and heard no footsteps approaching. "I am not going to marry a stranger," My voice came out louder than intended. Silence engulfed us for a moment before Elena laughed her head off. She rolled on the bed and then fall onto the floor with a loud thud. "God! The blessing ceremony sure did you bad. I wonder which wire God plucked out of your brain." Elena wiped the tears from her eyes. A soft growl escaped my chest. "Asshole," I softly cursed. "You really did lose your mind. Your guts seemed to grow out of nowhere," Elena scooted closer. "Izak there," She pulled me to the window and nudged her chin to the tree where Izak stood nervously. "Is your childhood friend. He is also your so-called puppy love over the years. Your loyal knight. Your guardian angel," Elena slurred. A strange fluttering feeling grew wild inside of me. It was as if seeing him made me lovesick like a teenager but then it shifted to nauseating. "God! I am crazy." Flabbergasted, I retreated down the window. My body burnt so suddenly with a racing heartbeat. "Slap me," A loud bang rocked the air. My cheek burnt as my head snapped sideways. Tears swelled in my ears as Elena cursed out loud. "Why didn't you avoid it?!" "This is not a dream?!" I softly breathed out. Rubbing my burning cheeks with the back of my palm. "Help me. Help me run away." Moments later, I was hanging from a window on the second floor. Elena was on guard with her back on me. "Can't I just use the stairs?" I whispered softly. My eyes were glued to the ground that seemed to drown me when I landed. "Are you stupid?!" Elana hushed. Her eyes widened in disagreement but at the sound of someone approaching, she snapped her head to the front. "Elena! Where is that gal?" "Mother~" My heart raced. This height, this act was so foreign yet it felt like I was accustomed to jumping down from somewhere. What is wrong with me? I sucked in a deep breath and then... God, save me. A loud thud exposed my doing. Lady Mcguire's hair flew out of the window. Her eyes were wide with rage as she sucked in a deep breath. "WYSTERIA!" Stompings followed by her incoherent screamings pushed me forward. My vision narrowed to the forest. When I came to, I was running away. The trees blurred as I ran and ran. My ears picked up the sounds of people coming for me. Their footsteps were added with inhuman's silent steps. Beast... Hunting beast. "G o d..." The beasts caught up to me. They were just a few yards behind me as their deep howlings and sniffing sent shivers down my spine. Why? Why do they even need a hunting beast to chase me? Cursed! It hit me hard when I remembered Izak's origin. He is from a family of Knight Hunters. They were part of the royal lineage. Thud! I stumbled when my feet hit a rock and my head dove right down into the ground. "Wyst!" Izak's voice came from behind the lines of trees but the hunting beasts snarling at me from a distance took my breath away. They struck me with a deep-rooted fear. I scampered till my back hit a tree. My breathing became heavier with each breath and when the beasts were a few feet away. Everything blurred. The hunting beasts lurched forwards with their teeth gnawing out. Their eyes were feral like a demon but hideous. Hideous enough that I think that their existence was mocking the demon's beautified eyes. Hot air was sucked into my lungs. Everything became slower at the moment as I watched the beast mid-air swaying its paws out towards me. My hand moved up, blocking its paws, and when we came into contact. Its pressure which I expected to be heavy and pressing didn't come. With a swift move of my hand back against it, I pushed it away to a tree. It whimpered and when I was about to see it more, another attacked. My hand which looked foreign to mine was swung onto it and blood splashed into my face. "What.. did I do?" Dull blades dug into my shoulder. Pushing me down onto a kneel and when I took in the sight. A beast was biting my shoulder off. I winced when the pain become unbearably annoying. My hand again moved to grip the beast's head and when it is in my clutch, I tossed it forward. It brought along a part of my flesh that was bitten off. "Stop...Stop it." I said to myself. Feeling something darker take control of my body as I stepped forward at the beast. Sharp blades protruded out of my fist. "What... No. Stop. Stop! What are you doing?" "Stay put and let me put an end to this," An alluring voice greeted me. Her presence was felt alongside me... No, it was inside of me. "Who are you? What are you doing to my body?" "I am you," With that words, my consciousness was swallowed into a pit of darkness. I wailed and wailed. But nothing comes from all ends to answer my wailings. It was then leaves of violet hues floated into my palm. Violet lights called me out of the darkness. I stepped out into a land of wisteria trees. The grass rustled beneath my feet and the sweet scent lingering in the air calmed me instantly. "Where am I?" I muttered softly to myself. The cold breeze caressed my skin and the lullaby lulled in the air soothed my rampaging heart. A wisteria tree stood in the middle of everything. Its rustling leaves seemed to call me. The flowing veins were waving. Entranced, my body was pulled towards it. "You are here." An angelic voice rang in the air. A curtain of mist draped over me the closer I am to the tree. "One by one. I shall return them one by one. Bits by bits." She said and the mist got thicker. The cold air turned hotter and hotter. "But the most prominent one shall be given first," "What?" The moment I asked her. I felt my body lifted into the air. The sky was painted red and... my body was cold. Too cold to be said for a living person. My lips quivered as my vision shifted to the ground. I watched a lifeless body spike with a tomb carved in many runes. The runes were lit with her... my blood soaking them. "I.am.dead." Hideous waves of laughter rocked in the air. Foreign chantings that took my soul away were chanted and offered to the sky. "A n g e..." I snapped my head to the back and see... Nothing. But a pain more painful than death was striking me here and there. It was as if my soul was being ripped apart. "Wyst?!" I blinked out to a ground soaked in blood. My hands were clad in dried blood and my fingers trembled with broken nails. "Wyst, look at me." Izak softly said. He held out a hand for me to reach and I shook my head at him. "Wysteria, please." Tears rolled down my cheeks. I hitched as my knees gave out to the sudden fatigue shrouding me. "Wyst!" Izak ran and pulled me into his embrace. His voice soothed me over and over again while I let out incoherent words. "It's okay. I am here. I am always here for you."
