Katherine responded with a faint smile and a nod.
I found an open fighter bay and brought the Dagger in faster than I should have for the small space, but I managed to get us into one of the docking slips without crashing the shuttle. Of course, the whole bay was still open to space, so we sealed up our helmets and then I opened the Dagger’s canopy and led the way to the remains of the port’s ruined air lock.
Once inside the battleship, still without atmo, we paused at the first intersection while Katherine consulted the schematics she’d received from Captain Omron. I suppose I could have done the same, but since I had Katherine there, I let her focus on that while I kept my focus on our surroundings, alert for any sign of the ship’s crew.
Satisfied, Katherine pointed us toward the aft
