So, I started back toward the main corridor. A few steps beyond the entrance to the observation room, I noticed an access hatch. Hoping to get lucky, I forced the lock and slipped inside. Only a length or two from the opening the floor dropped to a ladder and another access way leading down one deck. Trying not to hope for much, I followed this down one deck and found that it opened into the corner of the fighter repair bay.
