I awake to Aurora setting out plates and beverages on the small table in my room, Silvan is still asleep and the smells are making mouth water. I probably should wake him to eat he hasn't eaten much since he woke up from his wolf's bane induced slumber. " I remember telling you to knock when you came back Ro " I said to my best friend and beta, without looking up from what she was doing she said " I did " I c****d one eyebrow " so what are you doing in here " still not looking away from setting the table she says " no one answered " I start to chuckle " soooooo how did you get in here beta the door was locked " in thee most horrible French accent I've ever heard my bestie says " ah shimmied up ze drain pipe " her shoulders are shaking and she dodges the pillow I throw at her. " You can't keep lobbing stuff at me Tumoon, I won't stand for it much longer dammit " she's full on laughing now " this is employee abuse! "

We are both doubled over laughing and hugging when Silvan with one eye cracked open says " what's a guy gotta do to get some sleep in this place? " I look at aurora with a warning look in my eyes cause I knew what was coming before she even opened her mouth " I can't help it Phadra, this one is too easy" she starts backing her way to the door " get yourself injected with wolf's bane " she screams laughing barely avoiding being hit by a bedroom slipper. She pokes her head back through the door " employees rights are human rights!! " I can hear the fool giggling her way down the hall, when I lift my head to look at my mate he was staring at me with a smile on his face. " What? " I ask giving him a quizzical look " I love your relationship with Aurora, Alpha and Beta but more like sisters than friends " I shake my head and sigh " for a long time it was just us girls living and surviving in the woods, she kept me sane and I helped her forget the torment and torture she had escaped. We went through a lot...like a LOT, you have no idea how hard we worked and fought to stay alive in those early days " " I'll tell you more about it sometime with Ro's permission of course it's her story too, for now come and eat you must be famished "

He gets off the bed goes to wash up and comes back, before sitting in the chair beside me he kisses me in my neck. God this man has me wrapped around his little finger, I'll never admit it tho. " Sil would you consider coming back to my pack with me? " " Please " he drops his fork as I continue " I'm aware the female usually leaves her pack and joins her mate's pack but.... " he holds a finger up asking me to wait " the only reason I'm still here is because the moon goddess told me in a dream that my mate, the one she made just for me was going to find me, or I would've left as soon as I turned 18. I stayed here so my mate wouldn't have to search for me. I waited for you amore " I swear I'm melting " as she promised you found me and there's nothing keeping me here, my father doesn't love me and he's not going to make me Alpha after he retires. I had planned to leave and find my mother but now I'd like nothing more than to leave with you and help you with your pack anyway I can " yup I'm melting, he has melted me. " As soon as you're ready to go, I'll follow you any and everywhere " I can no longer contain my excitement, I jump into his arms and wrap my hands around his neck and my legs around his waist. We share a deep, long kiss only breaking apart to breathe. " I'm so damn happy " Silvan takes us back over to the bed and we just lay there for a while making out and touching each other " I honestly can't get enough of you Phadra, you're my moon and stars " he kisses me again and I can see all the love in his eyes, I hope he can see the love in mine as well. I can't believe moon goddess saw something so good in me that she made this wonderful man for me. I find myself wondering if she knows we found each other, I turn to Silvan and ask him when he wants to leave. " Can we go now? " he asks with a smirk, I'm not mad at him I'd rather not spend another minute in this toxic pack either. I mind link Aurora and ask her to make preparations for us to return to the pack, " oh thank moon goddess, I cant stay here much longer Pha... I'll mess up and throat punch that ditzy Luna " she replies in my head. I snicker, she's so short tempered it's hilarious. I ask Silvan to get anything he wants to take with him and I start packing my stuff up for my trip back home. I can't wait to see if everyone is ok, they were last time I checked but they try to not bother me with small issues when I'm away. I love my pack members, people don't understand how I run my pack but it works and I'm not changing my system. They're no omegas in my pack and there are no slaves. Everyone has a job they wanted, applied for or trained for. They recieve a salary, they get off days and take vacations, I will not force anyone into a life of servitude.

That's probably why other Alphas think I'm too soft and can't defend myself if they challenge me. But like I said Ro and I worked so hard to make this pack what it is today and nobody will separate us, we still take anyone wanting to join and we make sure they're not spies or bare us no ill will. We have a lot of kids and females in our pack and we have to make sure no harm comes to them, the pack is home and home is supposed to be safe harbor. Coming up Ro and I took any and every self defense class we could, we balanced school and those classes as best we could, we worked hard at dead end jobs and supported ourselves while we got our education. We started our own security company fresh outta college and gained a good reputation for our excellent skills and business acumen. She and I are experts in approximately 6 disciplines of martial art, kick boxing, mixed martial arts and we have qualifications to be snipers but we just got those for the hell of it. We dont need guns to protect ourselves, our company has won many awards and continues to grow. We're loaded and we use our money to run and support the pack.

Silvan comes back breaking me away from my musings and memories, he kisses me in my neck and tells me hes all packed and ready " it's not like I had much to begin with " I mind linked Aurora and asked her if she was ready to go " does a bear s**t in the woods?! " she answered back, I shake my head and chuckle, her stumbling into my camp was the best thing to ever happen to me, well that and finding Silvan. As we descend the stairs and make our way out of the pack house the Luna rushes in blocking our way screaming at Silvan. " how can you just leave your father like this, he is ill and cant run the pack effectively, what kind of son are you?! " she shouts " ooooh s**t its Loony Luna " Aurora says in my mind, I'm trying my best not to laugh out loud. My mate drops our luggage and asks calmly " what kind of father and Alpha subjects his first son to a life of slavery and ridicule for the better part of seven years Luna? How can you ask me to stay here, I'm no better than a rogue in his eyes, he doesn't love me and I'm leaving with my mate " he picks our luggage up turns to me and we start walking again. " But Silvan we'll be left defenseless, please... " he doesn't look back and he doesnt answer her, we continue to the cars and my bike. " Damn Tumoon your mate is cold blooded " Aurora breaks the silence and starts cackling like a witch, " I can see why you frequently throw things at her " Silvan also starts laughing and I roll my eyes at both of them and get in the car, Aurora will ride my bike back to the pack so Silvan and I can have some alone time in the car

I'm nervous to introduce him to the pack, I know they'll be happy for me but I don't know if they'll genuinely like him or tolerate him for my sake. We ride along in silence, holding hands and Sil is caressing my fingers, I hadn't even realised it was dark until Sikvan asks if we're going to be stopping somewhere to eat. " I could eat " I reply and ask the driver to pick somewhere and tell the others, I mind link Aurora and let her know. We stop at a small mom and pop diner and everyone gets out and enters, taking several seats and waiting to be served. Aurora goes to a table by herself and Silvan raises his eyebrow at me " you've never seen it have you, oh my goddess I can't wait..give it a moment " The waitress goes to Ro first " good night ma'am how can I help you tonight " she asks " gimme 2 cheese burgers, no onions, 1 large order of fries, do you do breakfast for dinner " the waitress nodded " good good I'd like 2 plates of bacon, a serving of French toast, 1 jug of orange juice, a small salad and a whole cherry pie" the waitress is writing furiously and she stops and ask " which meal is going to what table ma'am " Ro looks up at her " huh? " the waitress asks again " which meal is for which table, how am I distributing the meals " she asks " pooh I understand now, you think I ordered for the group, no hunny this is my food, they're going to order their own food " the waitress staggers back and almost drops her notepad, Silvans face is stuck in a look of disbelief and I lose it and start holding over laughing. He's never seen Ro eat, after we all recieve our food and start to eat Ro is like the show to go with dinner

Everyone is watching to see if she'll eat all that food she ordered, the waitress comes over and asks her if she needed anything else, Ro looks at the food covering the table and said " hmmm better bring me a burger and fries for the road " Silvan turns to me with his eyes wide and his mouth forming an O " she's not serious is she, how is she going to est it she's riding your bike "

" None of us know where she puts it or how she gets it all to fit in her tiny stomach " I reply " shes magic that best friend of mine, pure magic " I yawn and snuggle up to Silvan when we get back in the car, I asked Ro if she tipped the waitress, we both worked as servers and know tips are how most wait staff survive. As she goes to answer ne the waitress rushes out the door telling Aurora she gave her way too much money " the rest is a tip for tour excellent service and for putting up with my large order, thank you ma'am " Ro says " but Miss this is 300 dollars " the waitress says wide eyed " I know what I put on the table ma'am " Ro said " now put it in your pocket before someone tries to take it from you she told the waitress " oh my God thank you so much, I needed this " the waitress hugged Aurora in tears " you're welcome " my bestie gives her our business card and tells her to call if she ever needs help or a job. I love me some Aurora, she's got the biggest heart. I lay against Silvan's chest and drift off to sleep, before I know it I'm on the mountain where I had met Selene but now Silvan is holding my hand and we're walking up to meet moon goddess, She turns and says " I see you found each other, good good. Silvan you need to mark and mate Phadra. There's a test coming your way and it will be much more difficult to get through if she is unmarked and not mated " he looks at me and squeezes my hand " with respect only if she's ready moon goddess, I will not force her " Moon goddess smiles and says " I did a good thing when I created young Mr Cree, even when faced with a trial he chooses your honor before all else, cherish him Miss Tumoon you will need him and his unwavering love in these times to come. Draw strength from each other and remember you're stronger together " I gasp awake and realise Silvan is also waking up and looking at me while I'm looking at him " did you.... " he says " did you..." I say. We both had the same dream again but this time we were together, I can't help but worry and wonder what this trial is, Silvan runs my back and kisses my forehead.
