The Final Trial

Phadra and I fell into bed around 5am, we were exhausted, if she could go another round I'd initiate it but my baby could hardly keep her eyes open. She was fighting the sleep like a champion and I lifted her off the balcony which is where we ended up ( don't ask ), and into the bed. She was snoring softly in less than 2 minutes and I lay looking at her beautiful face before I too fell asleep. I didn't fade into darkness when my eyes closed, I was out on the. balcony and when I looked to my left Selene was standing there staring off into the woods, I bowed slightly and asked her what she wanted of me " Silvan this last challenge will test your love for Phadra, how far are you willing to go to prove your absolute love and devotion" " after you solidify your love and devotion to the one made for you, I will gift you the ultimate reward ". " Can I get a clue moon goddess, I chuckled, I love Phadra with my whole heart i live and would die for her. There's nothing to prove " she nods and touches my shoulder " be strong Mr Cree she will need you " I then drift off into darkness. When I wake up I don't know if to tell Phadra about my meeting with the moon goddess, she did say the trial was mine. I want no lies or secrets between Phadra and I so I decide to tell her when she wakes up. She wakes up a little after mid day and I ask the kitchen to send up some lunch for us, well I guess it would be brunch by now. While she's finishing off her coffee, I tell her about the dream and what Selene told me, she assures me that whatever it is we'll get through it together. " I've got you and you've got me " I kiss her softly and say " always ".

As were sitting there cuddling Aurora bursts into the " Alpha we have to go home, Zoe called and she said there was another challenge issued against you " she said she told the visiting Alpha that you weren't there and he refused to leave, he's been staying in your quarters and ordering our pack around, saying he's going to win this challenge so they better get used to him telling them what to do, Alpha he's assigned omegas and slaves to him and his entourage. Phafra growls and clenches her fist " there are no omegas or slaves in my pack, my people deserve to be happy and free after what most of them have already been thru " she turns to Aurora " Ro pack everything and ....oh wait you've found your mate, you don't have to come with us sweetie, I mean the females usually leave and go to their mate's place " before she could finish Aurora tells her Armand has packed their stuff and arranged inflight on a private jet so they can be home in little over an hour. She says she's going and he said anywhere she is he will be, she opens the door and tells us we have 30 minutes to pack and get moving, we were done in 15. We said our goodbyes to granny and Phadra's parents, promising an update as soon as things got back to normal. We arrived at the airport and boarded the plane with minutes to spare. We were coming through the pack gates in under an hour and when we pulled up out front the pack house Zoe came running out, " welcome home Alpha, we missed you terribly " she hugged Phadra, Ro and Silvan tightly and as she was filling us in on pack news a smarmy looking man came up behind her and smacked her on the ass, poor Zoe shuddered and closed her eyes. " Good afternoon Alpha Tumoon I am..." Phadra cut him off " quite frankly I don't give a f**k who you are, I will thank you to treat my staff with the proper respect and care they deserve, Zoe has a mate and children, she doesn't need you groping her and treating her like some prostitute out in the street ". She was livid and he was amused, " as I was saying.. " now I'm pissed, I stepped forward " Alpha whatever your name is, this pack still belongs to Miss Tumoon, your rude crassness is not called for, please afford Alpha Tumoon the respect you yourself would like but under no circumstances whatsoever deserve " he c****d and eyebrow and turned to face me. " And you are? " he asked " I am the Alpha's fated mate " the visiting Alpha c****d his head to the side " huh they told me you were unmated, this changes things " he mused to himself. Phadra has had enough and asks him to issue his challenge some can get it over with. He says he has to make a few changes " I initially issued this challenge for you, your territory, pack and riches but now that I know you are marked and mated I have to change some things " Silvan starts growling and Blaze is pushing his way to the top. " Ok! I Alpha Taron Green, challenge you Alpha Phadra Tumoon, this challenge is to be to the death and is for all of your earthly belongings, your pack and your territories. I reserve the right to fight for myself or choose a champion. Do you accept? " Phadra steps foward " I Alpha Phadra Tumoon accept the challenge and all it's terms " she shakes his hand and signs the documents making the challenge official, " as challenger you have the right to choose place and time " she informs him of his rights as challenger and leaves him to make his decision.

When we get up to our room the state of it throws Phadra into a rage, there's dirty laundry and old food strewn around the floor, the bathroom smells of stale piss and too much cologne. The closet and her underwear drawer have been rummaged through, she calls Zoe and tells her to have the room fumigated and to burn everything inside " yes Zoe I mean everything, I'll have it all replaced after this challenge is over " " I'd burn the pack house down if we didn't need to rest somewhere tonight, his scent is everywhere, it's disgusting " We moved our suitcases to a guest room, while Zoe and some other staff members husked the room out. We settled in and I sat on the bed and told her to come over here, she gave me a dirty side eye and told me " now is not the time to be thinking about s*x Sil " I patted the bed " Phadra come here please " she huffed and came over, I pulled her into my lap and held her in my arms, I held her like that until I felt her relax, sigh and go limp in my arms. She nuzzled my neck and I kissed her forehead " you know I can feel your emotions amore, the stress and anxiety you feel right now I feel, the anger you are feeling, all of it, my love I can feel it too " I need you relaxed and focused for this challenge, you cant be distracted and overthinking, now I'm going to go downstairs and visit with momand she and I will make you some lunch while you rest and relax before you kick Green's ass later " she giggles into my chest " thank you Sil I needed that " I lift her off of me and put her on the bed, kiss her cheek and lips and go to find my mother.

I enter the kitchen and find my mom and the rest of the kitchen staff rushing around like chickens with their heads cut off, she rounds the table she working on and gives me a big hug, " welcome back son, I'm a bit busy what do you need? " she asks while she goes right back to rolling out cookie dough. " I was going to ask you for help with Phadra's lunch but I can see you're very busy, I'll just make it myself " " um what's going on mom are you preparing for a feast of some kind " she stops and wipes her hands in her apron " son that terrible man has asked us to prepare him a victory dinner, the ladies and I didn't want to but I've seen your mate battle 3 times, bigger and better Alphas than this bastard so we decided we'd do it, but the feast will be for Alpha Tumoon " " she can fight honey, like she can really fight, she not only holds her own but she gives better than she gets ". I smile and nod " ok mom I'll take your word for it " I get started on lunch for my love, nothing too heavy she needs to be light on her feet and not worrying about her stomach. I made her a BLT but on sandwich bread instead of a huge hoagie, a large green smoothie and some carrot and cucumber sticks. I made my way back upstairs and found my love stretching, headphones in and sparring with the closet door, I offered to spare with her and she knocked me on my ass more times than I could count, my mom was right Green was in trouble. Best part was he wasn't expecting it, he thinks she's going to be easy to beat and he was in for a rude awakening. No sooner than Phadra had finished her lunch, someone knocked on the door. " Alpha, Mr Cree the other Alpha has asked that you join him outside please " Zoe said, before she left she said " Alpha Tumoon, I have been with you for all of your challenges and victories, it will be a pleasure to watch you beat the s**t out of that vile man, Beta Aurora had us make popcorn and she asked if Mr Cree was in " I chuckled " oh I'm in Zoe " she nodded and turned and walked away. Who knew our Zoe had a fierce side she's the sweetest wolf I know.

When Phadra and I walked into the training arena a loud cheer went up from the pack, who to Aurora's amusement were all eating popcorn. She ran up to Phadra and I and passed me a large bag of popcorn " your popcorn Mr Cree, do enjoy, I'll be in the cheering section with Armand " she took off to where Armand was standing and jumped into his arms, wrapping her feet around his waist and spilling some popcorn. Phadra and I chuckled and I started massaging her shoulders. Green walked up to us " you beta thinks she's funny making everyone popcorn like this is a movie " I nod and say " but she's HILARIOUS Alpha Green " he growls and walks away muttering " I'll show that b***h " he stomps over to his side of the arena and adjusts his boots, I don't know why since he intends to shift into his wolf. He marches into the arena and the official from the elder council calls Phadra over, " Alpha Green....Alpha Tumoon this challenge is to the death, there is to be no cheating of any kind, no silver weapons and no wolf's bane. You may fight in wolf or human form that is up to you. BEGIN!! "
