How dare Phadra bring her wolf mate to this kingdom, she was to come to be with me! She was supposed to be mine! I'll have her whether she likes it or not. That brother of mine as well, I dont know what the hell made him bring grand mama out of her room, he spoiled everything. I'd have had her man in the cells with her parents, God knows he must've told grand mama about her parents by now with his big stupid mouth. Damn you Armand, damn you! I can't believe it all went south so fast, I was going to be king. I stomped my feet and stopped just as quickly, they had the nerve, the guts....the unmitigated gall to call me a toddler. I'll kill them all including grand mama, one by one and take back my kingdom dammit.

I'll sneak back in later tonight and grab Phadra first, she's so petite she shouldn't be much trouble. By sundown she will be mine, let's see that Alpha of hers protect her now, he doesn't know this castle or property, I'll have her up and out before he knows what hit him. He chuckles while drinking whiskey from the bottle, " mine....all mine ".

As the sun sets no one sees or notices a fast moving individual ducking and weaving in and out of corridors and dark spaces. He quickly makes his way up stairs and eases into the rooms one by one until he finds the room Phadra and Silvan are sleeping in, he crawls across the floor and as Silvan's eyes snap open he quickly injects him with wolfsbane. Phadra hops off the bed and hits the lights to find Ash holding a syringe with a purple liquid dripping from it. " What have you done, you could kill him you i***t, what do you want !? " Phadra screams as she looks worriedly over at Silvan " Sil baby are you ok, dammit what have you done you blithering i***t " " this isnt called for you can marry whomever you want, I dont want this crown and I definitely don't want you ! Ash inched his way closer to Phadra " but I want you though, I must have you. I've spent years fantasizing about you and you nice little body, writhing under me and producing my heirs ". Phadra looked at him like he has lost his blasted mind, " Ash I don't want the throne, I'm happy with my pack and my mate. Grandmother says she's changing the laws and the next person in line be they be male or female can ascend the throne " he starts laughing, I've spent years trying to get you, I haven't courted anyone where will I find a woman now, no no no I must have you " he lunges at Phadra trying to grab her arm and twist it behind her back. She flicked her wrist, grabbed his wrist and twisted. He winced and before he could pull his hand away she twisted his wrist again. He screamed and looked at her in shock " you've broken my wrist you b***h " he shouted, she smirked and said " I'll break more than that if you don't turn yourself in now " he inched closer to her again and swept his left foot out trying to trip her, she jumped over his foot and spun around catching him under the chin with her right foot. " Ow, ouch you've learned a few tips from your Alpha wolf I see, no mind I'll have you soon " Phadra stood to her full height and growled, her growling got deeper as she stalked towards him and in his fear he started backing away from her. Her eyes now shone a bright red and her claws are out .

A slightly deeper voice now comes from he throat " your first mistake was wanting something that doesn't belong to you... your second mistake was thinking I was a poor defenseless little woman that you could take advantage of. Your third and last mistake was underestimating how much wolfsbane would take down my mate " he gasps and looks around only to be met with Silvan's fangs sinking into his neck, while Silvan is shaking him and biting down into his jugular Ember extends her claws and stabs them into his chest, she pulls back clutching his heart in her hand. She raises her head and howls, throwing the heart in the direction of Ash's now lifeless body. Aurora bound into the room followed by Armand and dead stops in the doorway " Phadra...no no Alpha Ember " she says and bows a bit. " I see you and your mate took care of the problem " Ember growled and said " he tried to poison my Silvan with wolfsbane, nobody touches my mate....NOBODY! "

Armand looks over Aurora's shoulder " oh my dear misguided brother, it couldn't have gone any other way. He was like a dog with a bone after cousin Phadra " " I'll tell granny what happened " he kisses Aurora on the shoulder then the cheek and turns to go alert their grandmother about what happened with Ash. Silvan walks over to Ember and touched her cheek " Ember honey can I please speak to Phadra " he caresses her cheek " please " she growls softly and runs her cheek into his palm " are you ok my love, I thought he had killed you " she licks his palm " I'm fine baby really I am, I just need to ask Phafra a few questions about what happened just now ".

Grandmother is wheeled into the room by Armand, she looks down at Ash's corpse and sighs sadly " I wish I could've gotten through to that boy " she shakes her head and sighs again " Armand my boy it's all up to you now, and since you seem to be bonded to this beautiful little wolf here the laws will definitely have to be changed " Armand turns and says " but granny the true queen and her king are already here they should have ascended 23 years ago ", " now that the laws are being change aunty Talon and her mate can now assume their rightful place as queen and king of the Phoenix kingdom " granny gasped and grabbed Armand's hand " you smart boy you, you're absolutely right, Talon was to be queen when she ran away with the child " " when they both recover from their wounds and have been rested I will make sure they take their place as queen and King of this kingdom " Phadra's eyes are now back to their Amber color and she grabs Silvan's face and kisses him " I was so worried about you my love " she peppers his face and neck with kisses. Armand says he's going to take grandmother back to her room, he takes Aurora's hand and kisses the back of it, Phadra and Silvan looks at each other and then turns to raise their eyebrows at Aurora. She smirks and turns to walk away " hey! get your shapely ass back in here young lady " Phadra shouts, Aurora turns on her heel and says Phadra he's my mate, I knew it as soon as I saw him coming down the stairs. When he lead me into the kitchen I jumped on him and he returned my kisses " Phadra looks at her and she looks at Phadra, they let out 2 ear piercing screams and grab each other hugging and jumping. Silvan shakes his head " ladies I'm very happy Ro has found her mate, but there's a dead body underfoot " he points at Ash's corpse and raises his hands in a questioning motion. Aurora looks down and smirks " I'll ask the first maid I see how they get rid of rubbish here " she dashes through the door giggling as a pillow comes flying at her head. " Phadra turns to Silvan " oh baby I really hate taking a life but he just wouldn't stop and then he hurt you, Ember literally saw red and I couldn't rein her in " Just then there was a knock on the door and 2 guards and 2 maids asked if they could remove His Majesty's remains and clean the room, they've arranged for us to be moved into a different room. Silvan packs all their stuff up and moves them to the new room, he tells Phadra to sit on the bed and hell be right back, he goes into the bathroom and fills the tub with cold water. He comes back into the room and lifts her bridal style into the bathroom, he puts her down undresses her and puts her in the tub. He gets her body wash and a sponge and kneels outside the tub while he gently bathes her and washes her hair. When he's finished he picks her up wrapping her in a large fluffy towel and dries her off, he asks her what she wants to wear to bed and she asks for one of his t shirts. He helps her get it on and lifts her to the bed, he then goes to take a quick shower and comes back in a grey sweatpants and shirtless, he turns the lights off and climbs into bed behind Phadra taking her in his arms. " I love you amore " he kisses his mark on her neck and they sleep, not knowing or caring what tomorrow would bring. They're fine as long as they have each other.
