Maya ran.
She closed the distance between them in seconds and threw her arms around him. Ethan caught her immediately, wrapping her in a hug so tight it knocked the breath out of her.
And then she cried.
Not the quiet, dignified tears she'd been holding back for days. Real tears. Messy, uncontrollable, ugly crying that shook her whole body.
