"Oh, sorry I wasn't really expecting company," Gabriel said awkwardly as he pulled me into the bedroom of a bed and breakfast. He moved his dirty clothes out of my way as I walked in. There were takeout boxes piling in the trashcan and the bed looked like it hadn't been made since he got here. Why was he staying here? It was a cramped space that was decorated with creepy dolls.
