THE CROSSOVER
CHAPTER ONE Audrey listened to her agent on the phone while sitting on the park bench in a daze. Looking at the fat man in front of her; seeing his lips moving but she couldn't for the life of her register the words he said as she tried tried to refocus her mind to listen, but she could only catch the last part of his words, “... so don't be too sad, Tess is now the boss's new love that is why she could cut you off, but been cut off is nothing shameful. Don't think too much about it”. Audrey nodded as she continued to sort out the information in her mind. The agent saw that even though she was tensed, she didn't overreact, so he parted her on the shoulder, “ I will be leaving first, you just calm down and don't do anything overboard”. Audrey nodded absentmindedly. Until she reached to the intersection, and almost walking into the road, the honking of a car and the curses of the driver woke her up. Audrey looked around her, asking herself the same question for the hundredth time, so she really did cross over?. No to be precise she was in a book, and the character she is wearing is that of a villian. She walked to the bus-stop bench to sit while she combed through the flow of information she had just received in her mind. If the information she got is correct, then this character should be the villian of the book, and the most foolish villain at that. The character's name is also Audrey but the personality is very different and the I.Q is also a thousand miles apart. In the book the original owner's grandfather and the protagonist grandfather were best friends who doesn't want the families to be separated, so after the original owner's sister was born they made a marriage promise to each other, but the original owner's sister grew up to become a lesbian, loving only women through and through, she ended up engaged to a woman which cut off her path to the marriage. Can the protagonist parents bear it? Of course not, but then they remembered that the sister has another sister who is the original owner, who is single and decided to go for her, only for the protagonist to declare right there in their presence that he already had a fiancee named Paige and that is the only woman he would marry. He however couldn't hold these words for long because his so called lover Paige up and left the country following her dream man in the pursuit of love, leaving the protagonist to wander around in loneliness. At this time the lonely and heartbroken protagonist saw the reality of things and decided to settle for what he has at hand, so he walked into Seattle city where the rich and mighty dwells right into into his parent's home and declared that he would adhere to the contract, but that is if the original owner agrees. However as the supporting and villianous role of the book, how could the original owner be willing, if she was willing then there would have been no villian. Therefore, although the original owner has a pair of beautiful and bright eyes, she was as blind as she was dumb, not only was she unwilling, she began yelling and throwing abuses at both sides of the parents, deceiving her parents, coarsing them with so much word and putting out so much conditions; after so much drama the protagonist end accepting the conditions. In this way through numerous manipulations she was able to integrate fully into the entertainment circle; unfortunately she was filled with contempts, bitterness and low self-esteem. She only knew the shrew, not how to work hard. She was inlove with a scumbag and been an equal scumbag herself she devoted herself to cheating on the protagonist, of course this is all done behind the protagonist’s back. Audrey tried to recall the ending of the owner. After sifting through her memories, she suddenly remembered that the original owner eventually died. The cause of death turned out to be because of her so called lover, after a scuffle with the scumbag, he pushed her causing her to bang her head at the edge of the glass table, dying at the spot, seeing the rugs dyed red with her blood and her empty lifeless opened eyes, he took off with the wealths he had syphoned from her all these years. Audrey thought 'this is f*****g f****d up'! What an absurd and pathetic ending, for what reason did she live such a stupid life, all the other villians she had ever read about were though evil, but at least they were smart not stupid! If you can't plan then don't bother planning, if you can't conspire then don't bother conspiring and still ended up killed even more stupidly. Audrey calmed down and slowly accepted her helpless situation, then got up to go home. But when she came to the road stop, she remembered something. If she remembered correctly, in the message she just received, in the argument that lead to the original owner's death, the scumbag mocked the original owner, “ Do you think I had ever been your lover? Do you think I just started cheating on you this year? You i***t i had been cheating on you as early as five years ago. When you were at the corner crying because of Tess's betrayal that year I was at your home banging a hottie when you called, we laughed at your utter stupidity as we both listened to you cry”. Audrey stopped, if she could recall correctly the scumbag told the original owner to go home-to her parent's house, because he wouldn't be at their shared home. Which turned out to be exactly when he was banging the so called hottie. Because the original owner was really dumb, she went straight to her parent's home after calling the scumbag from the airport, without a single doubt on the excuse. As Audrey thought about it, you really couldn't blame the original owner, she just really loved the scumbag; albeit stupidly, but that was love and as they say, Loves makes one blind. Audrey shook her head, although that love is dazzling, that wasn't her business. The original owner was gone, it's her now and she is sure as hell not going to condone the same nonsense. For convenience sake, she decided to call the scumbag but got the same excuse as the original owner. When the call ended she felt her anger rise, how dare the scumbag think he can just cheat, play with ones emotions, kill the person who loves him and just get away with it. She was going to make sure she crushed him!. Audrey hailed a taxi and immediately headed straight for her door. Speaking of which, the original owner bought the house, and because the original owner is in the performing arts entertainment business- with work related travels as a medium rated actress; though she is not at the top, atleast she was above average, but for that reason the scumbag had the house to himself most of the time. Maybe because it's been too long, the scumbag had forgotten who the house belongs to. Even during a fight, he pushes out the original owner and dumb as she is, she leaves. Audrey pressed her hands to her temples, seriously if the original owner is presented to her right now, she would beat her until she beats the stupidity out of her dumb brains. She would first cure the problems of the original owner's body, then the problems with her eyes, and then the final problem with her heart. When the taxi drove into the community gates and stopped at her apartment, she paid as she highlighted, heading straight for her door. The moment she entered through the doors she heard a groan accompanied by a moan. She looked at the layout of the house as she headed carefully for the room where the sound was coming from. Probably knowing that the original owner wouldn't return, the scumbag and his then call girl didn't bother been careful, even forgetting to close up the doors. Audrey looked the at two going at it passionately. They were really focused at it, with one kneeling and the other behind, one yelling and the other groaning, they were into their thrill without a care for the world. Audrey even took a moment to look at the person replacing the original owner. She was not as good-looking as the original owner, though she was smaller and softer than the original owner with her eyes closed and red lips opened in bliss. Seeing the two of them nearing their peak, she took her phone and recorded the moment of temporary shared bliss and quietly stepped back. Audrey remembered that the toilet in her home was broken. Before leaving the original owner told the scumbag to call the repair man, but according to the character of the scumbag who was used to extorting the original owner, he would definitely not repair it. Sure enough when she got to the toilet, she saw that it was just as it was, with a bucket under the dripping faucet. Audrey got out her phone and placed a call to the scumbag. Audrey asked, “Hey babe, where are you? Are you still working overtime at the office? “ Yeah the boss asked me to work on some urgent project for him”. “Then I will see you okay?”, She deliberately immitated the soft and weak tone of the original owner. Cole the scumbag refused immediately, “ Baby I told you I wasn't going to be home, just go back to your parents’ house and wait for me. I will call you after work to pick you up”. “Ok babe, I just really missed you and thought I could see you now, but later is good as well”. Cole replied with a chuckle, “well I miss you too angel, I will see you later, take care”. The dial tone of the hanged up phone ignited Audrey's anger, she picked up the half filled bucket under the faucet and walked straight to the bedroom. The bucket is a bit big, and she obviously wouldn't be as quiet as she had been, but because the two had been so focused, they couldn't noticed her even as she walked into the bedroom. As Audrey approached, she heard the girl asked Cole, “ What type of overtime are you working on. Been a bad boy looks good on you”. Cole laughed breathlessly, “ You know I am having an extra class with you baby, no need to be jealous”. Audrey couldn't stand how sickening this worthless art was and just snapped the water in the bucket at them, snapping them out of their momentous bliss. Cole was so into the throes of passion when the cold water forcefully pulled him into reality. He cursed, “who the f**k…”. His words dried up when he turned around to see who had done it, his eyes shrank with fear the moment he saw her. Audrey directly raised her hands and snapped the remaining contents in the bucket to his face, splashing it into his mouth which was still opened with shock. Audrey looked at him with a smile, raised eyebrows and a cheerful emotion, “Hello babe! I couldn't rest assured of your wonderful excuse so I came to see for myself, I am sure you are happy to see me”.
