Chapter 11. Getting Closer

1472 Words
KEYCEE's POV Today is Monday. Ryza, Christia and I were in the library together. They're busy dealing with their books, reviewing for our incoming quiz, while I was busy on my phone, scrolling through my social media. "You know what? There's really no one like Sir Lee. He even punishes girls. I can't believe him," said Ryza, shaking her head in disbelief. "Who was punished and why?" Christia asked while I just listen and don't interrupt their conversation. "Based on what I heard, he caught three girls exchanging answers during seat work, so he tore up their paper in front of the class and made them stand for the entire math class with their arms raised on both sides and large book resting on both palms," answered Ryza. "Wow. That's too much!" It really is. "Maybe Sir Lee's future wife is going to be so unlucky. Imagine, he's super strict!" Christia exclaimed. This time I put my phone down and looked up at them. "You know what, guys? I think you're right. Sir Lee's wife is very unlucky." They both raised their heads and looked at me. "He's the type of teacher who's strict at school, but crazy when he's at home." I didn't realize that I was gripping my phone tightly, annoyed, when I remembered what happened last Saturday. That time when he suddenly entered my room and how he stared at my cleavage. "Wait, Keycee? How can you say that Sir Lee's wife is unlucky? He's still single until now, isn't he?" Ryza wondered. "And how do you know he's crazy when he's at home?" Christia added while eyeing me suspiciously. "How could I not know? We live in his house together." They looked at me with straight eyebrows. They obviously didn't believe what I said. "Great." Christia leaned back on her seat. "Did you have breakfast earlier? Seems like you haven’t. You're talking gibberish." She even laughed at me; shaking her head. But I can't blame them because they really don't know anything about Sir Lee and me being married. "Truth is, Sir Lee and I had breakfast together," I said and flipped my hair, proudly. "Are you sick or just lost your mind? Wait a minute, I'll buy you some medicine." Ryza stood up from her seat but I pulled her back just immediately. "Sit down and I'll explain everything. I'm sure you'll be damn crazy when you find out." They both looked at me so intently and were waiting for what I would say next. "It's like this. Me and Ace Lee live in the same house. Why? Because we're husband and wife. Why are we husband and wife? Because we got married. And why did we get married? Because his grandfather wanted it. And why does his grandfather want it? Because he and my grandfather promised before that they would marry their grandchildren. Ace and I are the grandchildren they were referring to. And why do they want us to marry? That's what I don't know yet." "Great, Keycee. Your explanation is clear. But I still don't understand." Ryza rolled her eyes at me as she crossed her arms in front of her. "Because of what you said, 4+5=56 seems even more believable," Christia commented. My eyebrows furrowed. "4+5=56? I guess that's impossible. It should only be nine." "No, no, no! That's where you're mistaken. You can try to solve it. Four plus five is equals to fifty-six. When you find out how the answer became fifty six, we'll believe that you and Sir Lee are indeed married ," Christia challenged me. "Christia is right. Once you guess why fifty-six is the answer, only then will we believe in you." Then they stood up from their seat and picked up their book. "Alright, there you go. Just use your phone over there as we're getting into our English class," Ryza added and they walked out of the library while I tried to think how the answer to 4+5 became 56. When I noticed that they were no longer in front of me, I stood up and followed them immediately. "Wait! Wait for me!" I shouted but the librarian also shouted at me. "Silence!" I forgot that I was in the library. ☆゚.*・。゚ 4+5=56? That's really impossible. I have used a calculator but the answer is actually nine. I counted on my fingers, still nine. I've used all kinds of calculators but it only comes out nine. And no matter which angle you look at it, 4+5 is actually 9. And seriously, I'm going crazy. It seems even more difficult compared to the math problem that Ace gives! Wait. Speaking of the devil. Ace. Alright. Maybe he can help me with this 4+5=56 problem. I looked down at my wrist watch, it was ten-eighteen in the evening. Is he asleep? I came out of my room and went to his. I knocked but no one answered so I just turned the door handle and peeked inside. I saw him lying on the bed but I'm not sure if he's asleep or not because he has his back to me. I can't see his face. I slowly went inside and quietly approached his study table. I opened the book that was lying there, hoping I'll get lucky and there was a stray page with an explanation of how the answer to 4+5 became 56. Failed, unfortunately. Because I can't find anything. I turned around and looked at Ace. He's sleeping. He has a book in his hand, a math book. Maybe the answer I'm looking for to Christia and Ryza's question is in there. I approached him, trying my hardest not to make a single noise. I leaned down and slowly picked up the book. I was about to get it from his hand, but I was surprised when he suddenly grabbed my hand and pulled me down. And now I was on top of him. Sh*t. I couldn't speak because his face was so close to mine. I know we've already kissed but I feel strange when he's this close to me. I'm not comfortable. I'm nervous as hell. I feel like dying right this instant. He placed his hand on my waist and pulled me closer, alligning me perfectly and I swallowed hard when I felt his hardness pressed against my lower abdomen. He's . . . so big. Aaaach! Kill me now! "Wait, sir . . . " I couldn't finish what I was going to say because I was lost to him. His eyes were closed but I knew he was awake. I just looked at his calm, and perfect face and for a moment I don't want him to let me go. "What a strange young lady coming to a man's room like that in the middle of the night . . ." he whispered, immitating what I told him when he entered my room. "W-Why? Am I not allowed? We're married," I said nervously. But it seems like I chose the wrong word because he grinned when he heard that from me. "I know. That's why it would be great if you sleep here tonight. Because we're married." Suddenly he opened his eyes and looked at me. He flipped me over and now he's on top of me, but only half of his body. I was uncomfortable so I avoided looking at him and just turned to my right. When he realized that I was nervous, he laid down next to me and pulled me even closer to him, my face on his neck. He just hugged me tightly, but not hurting me. He's hugging me with so much assurance that he won't hurt me or do something I wouldn't like. "S-Sir, I can't breathe. Can you let me go?" I asked softly. He loosened his embrace a bit but still didn't let go of me. "Why are you hugging me like there's no tomorrow?" "I haven't done this before since we got married," he said, his voice low but I could still hear it because we were so close to each other. "You, being this sweet and gentle, it doesn't suit you," I teased. "Don't worry, I won't insult you anymore. I will always pay attention to you and I will try to treat you as my wife," he whispered again, and I feel like I want to cry because of his words. Finally . . . "Really, huh? You're not going to tease and scold me ever again?" He hummed as a response. "Promise?" I looked up at him so I can finally see his face if he's being serious or not. But instead of answering me, he gave me a kiss. And I can't help but kissed him back.
