Keycee Dela Vega, a cheerful student who secretly married to his strict math teacher, Ace Lee. Though not academically gifted, Keycee has a bright and compassionate personality. She cares deeply for her friends and classmates. Their marriage wasn't because of love, it's Ace's grandfather's request, so they didn't get along well. And when everything is getting better between them, Keycee finds out that she already knew Ace even before they got married. She knew that she was the person her husband hates the most and the one he had been looking for.

Chapter 1. Homework
KEYCEE'S POV My head was resting on my study table and I wanted to cry. Why am I not good at math? I hate math. I hate my teacher for giving me such a hard time. He gives us an assignment that is too much and too difficult. To make matters worse, he was too strict. He doesn't allow those without assignments to enter the classroom. What should I do? I really hate him. I hate my husband. Yes, MY STRICT TEACHER IS MY HUSBAND, and it really kills me! Every time I remember that we were married, I felt like I didn't want to live anymore. I raised my head and stared at the book in front of me. "Hey, Math! What did I do wrong? Why are you torturing me like this?" I don't know why I'm talking to a book who doesn't know how to speak. If he only knew, he might have scolded me for not paying attention to him. I took my bag from the bed, took out my classmate's notebook—slam note, which is trendy in our time to get to know someone, and I started answering it, instead of my assignment. My name is: Keycee Dela Vega I was born on: 5th of August. Age: Seventeen. Status: SINGLE! Hobbies: Reading and sleeping. FAVORITES Favorite Sports: Badminton Favorite Food: Spaghetti and beef steak. What was it? Math? Hey, of course not! Just stab me with a knife if you think math is my favorite subject. No matter how handsome my husband is, I mean my teacher, I still don't like math. So, for my favorite subject...it should be RECESS. Yeah, Math is important, but food is life. ALL ABOUT LOVE For me, love is: To me, true love is when you can completely be yourself around another person in good times and bad. It's loving each other's differences and appreciating them exactly as they are. Love is the feeling that something is missing when you are apart and the realization that everything seems so much better when you are together. For me, Crush is: Crush is the person who will never be yours. My crush is/are: Ryan Dela Cruz My love is/are: My mom My best friend is/are: Ryza and Christia My mortal enemy: The one only...MATH SUBJECT! The person I hate the most: Mr. L My dream date is: Mr. L The date setting I want: Anywhere...on the beach. I hadn't even finished answering the slam note when I felt drowsy. I looked at the clock on my bedside table. It's already midnight. Have I been awake for so long? Maybe that's why I'm sleepy. ACE'S POV I went down to the kitchen to get a beer. I couldn't sleep because I have too much unfinished work. When I was about to enter my room, I noticed that the light in her room was still on and the door wasn't closed properly. Isn't she sleeping yet? I walked towards her room, turned the doorknob and carefully peeked inside. I saw her sleeping with her head resting on her study table, making me shake my head. Why didn't she sleep in her bed? I went inside, walked towards her to see what she was doing earlier and fell asleep on her study table. I saw her math notebook with her assignment. I scanned the whole page and saw that she had not yet answered even one of the problems I had given. I know she's not good at it. She hated my subject to death, but that's it. It's a part of the student's life. I wanted to lift her and move her to the bed, but I didn't want her to think I was concerned. We're not that close yet, so I just let her sleep. But before I could finally get out of her room, I thought of glancing at her again, as well as the assignment she hadn't done yet. How can she come to my class tomorrow if she doesn't have an assignment? KEYCEE'S POV I made my way downstairs and went straight to the dining area. As soon as I walked into the kitchen, I saw my strict teacher having his breakfast quietly. "G-good morning," I greeted him, but he just ignored me. Don't be surprised, that's how he is. What a kind husband! I pulled out a chair and sat down in front of him. We faced each other but we didn't talk as if we were enemies. "Your milk." Yaya Miranda, smiling, carefully handed me the glass of my milk because I am not a fan of coffee. "Thanks, ya. Anyway, good morning." I turned to her, giving her a warm smile. I was about to start eating, the spoon was already in my mouth when Ace suddenly stood up in his chair, making me look up at him. Is he done already? Why did he eat so fast? Wait, what time is it? I looked down at the wristwatch I was wearing and was so shocked when I saw that it was already 8:33 in the morning. Math is our first class and it will start at 8:45. Panicking, I quickly drank my milk to catch up with him. I'm dead! "Bye, ya. I'm leaving!" I turned to Yaya Miranda when I finished the glass. As I ran too fast, I bumped into his back, making him stop as well. "Ouch..." I complained while holding my forehead. It was as if I had hit the wall because of the hardness of his back. "You still have twelve minutes, so don't hurry," he said, emotionless, and turned his back on me. He went to the garage and got in his car. Obviously, he had no plans to take me in his car because we don't usually go to school at the same time, in the same car. I was afraid that someone might see us because no one even knew we were married. Even my friends didn't know that. So, I just stared at his car as it came out of the gate, but suddenly he stopped. He rolled down the window and peeked in to look at me. He motioned for me to come to him. "Get in," he said as I approached him. "Huh?" My mouth fell slightly open. Did I hear it right? He's giving me a ride? Oh, maybe because I didn't eat, so I've been hearing things I wasn't supposed to hear. "I said get in!" He said, annoyed, but I just looked at him. I still can't believe that this is happening. Is this real? "Aren't you coming in or do you just plan to run to get to my class at the right time? We're late!" he said irritably. That's where he finds his attitude again. I immediately turned to the other side and got into his car. I was worried that he might suddenly change his mind, which would cause me to walk. His kindness was only once in a blue moon so I should make the most of it. Math is our first subject. Isn't it a very good subject to start a new morning? When you wake up badly, it will be even worse because of it. I tried to be quiet while he was driving. I was looking out the window when I suddenly remembered something. Oh, s**t! I didn't do my math assignment and I also didn't have time to copy my friends 'work because it was already late. Wow. I think I'm so lucky that's why it's happening to me. I sighed and looked out the window once again. "Why are you sighing?" he asked as he turned to me. "Nothing!" I responded, but I was also surprised by my answer. I replied in a tone as if we were close, disrespectful. "I mean...nothing, Sir Lee," I corrected. He didn't say a word, so I kept quiet. When we were close to school, he suddenly stopped the car. "Get out," he commanded. Yes, I already knew the reason why he was kicking me out. We both don't want anyone to see us. "Okay," I said and got out immediately. He started the engine and left. Looking down at my wristwatch, my eyes widened in shock. Sh*t! I'm late! I hurriedly ran into the room, not caring what I looked like. The important thing was that I could catch up with the class on time. But, wait...? I don't have an assignment, do I? Why am I still looking forward to it? Even if I make it to class, if I don't have an assignment to show, I won't be able to enter. So, what's the point of running? I stopped and just started walking. From a distance, I saw my classmates starting to line up. Ace was really like that, we all had to line up properly before he let us in. I approached Ryza and Christia, my best friends, when I saw them at the end of the line. "Why are you late?" they asked me. "I woke up late. By the way, I'm not coming in, just teach me what you studied," I told them. "Huh? Why?" Ryza furrowed her eyebrows. "I didn't do my—" "Bring out your books!" Ace shouted, cutting me off. We immediately turned to the door where he was standing while looking at us. "And your assignment," he added, while his face was completely blank. He was always like that anyway, no emotions. "Get in line!" Christia pulled me over and placed me in front of her because I was a little smaller than her. "Wait, I don't have an assignment!" I whispered to them. "Just make excuses. Say you forgot which page," Ryza said seriously. That's right. I can say that. No. No. No! What if he says, 'our room was just next to each other, why didn't you ask me? Possibly he would tell me that when I excused myself. "Boys get in!" he called our male classmates. They entered one by one. You're right, men always come first. Ladies first isn't a trend for him, and before they can finally enter the room, you must first show your book and your assignment so that you can get in. "I need to leave. I really don't want to go in." I turned around and was ready to leave when Ace shouted again, making me stopped. "Girls, get in!" My classmates started walking to enter the classroom, while I just stood there, and didn't know what to do next. They all entered and I was the only one left standing alone. "Miss Dela Vega?" he called again. "Y-yes sir," I answered weakly. I have already decided. I would rather not go to his class because I would be embarrassed if he looked for my assignment and I couldn't show anything. I'll just make an excuse. I'll tell him that my stomach hurts, or maybe my head, or my back, or my chest, whatever comes to my mind first. "Do you plan to stand there until the class is over?" His face was still blank. How can I get in? Would he let me in even if I didn't do mine? "Are you going in or not?" he asked again, and instead of making an excuse, I walked over to him as I took my notebook and book out of my bag. It's up to him to decide whether to let me in or not. I opened the page where my assignment had to be completed and I was shocked because there was an answer. I stared at my notebook, unable to blink, wondering if I did it last night, but I knew I didn't because I fell asleep, plus I didn't know how to. I looked up at him, he was five steps away from me. I turned at my notebook again, studying the penmanship. It's very obvious that he wrote this! "Miss Dela Vega, what are you waiting for?" he said, starting to get annoyed. This time, I no longer hesitated to approach him. I showed him my assignment before he nodded and let me in. I smiled broadly as I walked over to my seat. Thanks, hubby!
