Beauty in Disguise:The evening lights of Silverstone City shimmered across the streets as Kay stood beneath an enormous ancient tree in the courtyard of an abandoned mansion. Tall buildings surrounded the property, their windows glowing against the darkening sky.Kay checked his phone again.Agnes was late. Then the wind changed.A cold breeze swept through the courtyard, despite the warm evening.“Kay.”He turned.Agnes stood near the iron gate, her eyes filled with tears.“Agnes, what happened?”She slowly walked toward him.“My parents have forbidden me from seeing you again.”Kay's expression fell.“Is it because my family isn't wealthy?”Agnes nodded.“They think I deserve someone from a powerful family. Someone who can give me a luxurious life.”Kay looked toward the skyscrapers towering over the city.“I may not have everything they want, but I love you.”“They don't care about that.”Before Kay could respond, every light surrounding the mansion suddenly went out.The city continued glowing beyond the gates, but inside the compound everything became completely dark.Agnes grabbed Kay's hand.“Did you do that?”“No.”A woman's voice whispered from the darkness.“Some love stories are never allowed to end.”Agnes screamed softly. The lights suddenly returned. There was nobody there.Kay looked around.“Did you hear that?”Agnes nodded.“I heard it.”Neither of them noticed the shadow standing on the roof of the abandoned mansion. The next morning, Agnes's father summoned Kay to their luxurious apartment overlooking Silverstone City.Agnes's father, Mr. Mensah, stood beside the enormous glass window.“You have nothing to offer my daughter,” he said.Kay remained calm.“Sir, I may not be wealthy, but I can give her respect, loyalty, and genuine love.”Mr. Mensah laughed bitterly.“Love doesn't pay bills.”Agnes stepped forward.“Father, you're judging him because of what he owns.”“I am protecting you.”“You're choosing money over happiness.”Her father shook his head.“One day you will understand.”Agnes stormed out.But before she reached the elevator, the lights flickered. For a brief moment, she saw a woman standing at the end of the hallway. The woman was dressed in an old-fashioned white dress.Agnes blinked. The hallway was empty. That night, Agnes discovered something strange inside an old storage room in her parents' apartment.Behind several boxes was a locked wooden chest. She found the key hidden beneath an old photograph. When she opened the chest, she discovered letters, newspaper clippings, and a photograph of a young couple standing beneath the same ancient tree behind the abandoned mansion.Agnes stared at the photograph. The young man looked exactly like Kay.Her hands began trembling. She turned the photograph over.A date was written on the back.Agnes's heart raced.“That can't be possible.”Then she noticed something even stranger. The young woman in the photograph looked exactly like her.Meanwhile, Kay began experiencing strange dreams.Every night he dreamed about Silverstone City as it had looked a century earlier. The skyscrapers were gone. The roads were smaller. And the abandoned mansion looked brand new.In every dream, Kay saw himself standing beneath the ancient tree.Beside him was Agnes. But something always separated them. One night, Kay finally asked the mysterious woman in his dream:“Who are you?”She answered:“I am the keeper of a promise.”“What promise?”“The promise your souls made long before this city was built around you.”Kay woke suddenly. His bedroom was freezing. On his desk sat a silver flower. He had never seen it before.Kay and Agnes eventually met again at the abandoned mansion. They compared what they had discovered. The photograph. The dreams. The mysterious voice. The silver flower.Everything pointed toward the same secret.Their families had been connected long before either of them was born. The original couple in the photograph had fallen deeply in love, but their families had separated them because of wealth and social status.According to the old letters, the couple had promised that if they were ever separated, their love would find its way back to each other. But something supernatural had happened. The woman disappeared. The man vanished days later.Their story became a forgotten mystery.Until Kay and Agnes met.As the weeks passed, strange events continued throughout Silverstone City.Elevators stopped whenever Kay and Agnes entered them.Streetlights flickered whenever they walked beneath them.Old photographs changed. And sometimes, the reflection of the mysterious woman appeared in windows even when nobody was standing behind them.Eventually, Agnes's father discovered the truth. He returned to the abandoned mansion alone.

Beauty in Disguise Episode 1: The Meeting
The evening lights of Silverstone City shimmered across the streets, reflecting on the glass walls of the tall buildings that surrounded the downtown district. Cars moved steadily along the busy roads, their headlights forming long streams of light beneath the darkening sky. Yet behind the noise and movement of the city stood a place that seemed untouched by time. An abandoned mansion sat quietly behind an old iron gate. Its walls were covered with climbing vines, its windows were dusty, and the courtyard had become overgrown with grass. At the center of the courtyard stood an enormous ancient tree. Kay stood beneath it, checking his phone for the fourth time. 7:18 p.m. Agnes was late. He slipped his phone into his pocket and looked toward the gate. They had agreed to meet at seven. Normally, Agnes was never late. Something must have happened. Kay tried calling her, but the call went unanswered. He sighed and leaned against the ancient tree. He had known Agnes for almost a year, and during that time, she had become one of the most important people in his life. They had met by accident at a small coffee shop near the university district. Kay had been working on his laptop when Agnes had accidentally knocked a cup of water onto his notebook. She had apologized repeatedly. He had laughed. That simple moment had become the beginning of something neither of them expected. They had talked almost every day afterward. They discovered that they shared many dreams. Agnes wanted to build a successful career and help people in her community. Kay wanted to establish his own business someday, even though he currently worked long hours just to support himself. Their lives were different, but somehow they understood each other. Kay looked at the city skyline. He knew Agnes's family considered him unsuitable for her. Her father was a successful businessman. Their apartment overlooked the city, they attended expensive events, and they had connections with some of the most influential families in Silverstone City. Kay came from a modest family. He did not have expensive clothes, a luxury car, or a wealthy father who could open doors for him. But he believed he had something more important. He genuinely cared about Agnes. A sudden breeze moved through the courtyard. Kay looked up. The evening had been warm, but the wind that touched his face was strangely cold. He frowned. Then he heard footsteps. He turned toward the gate. Agnes stood there. She looked different. Her usually bright expression had disappeared. Her eyes were filled with tears, and she held her handbag tightly against her side. Kay immediately walked toward her. “Agnes, what happened?” She tried to answer, but her voice failed her. Kay stopped a few feet away. “Are you okay?” Agnes wiped her eyes. “My parents know about us.” Kay's heart sank. “What did they say?” She looked down. “They have forbidden me from seeing you again.” For several seconds, Kay said nothing. The sounds of the city seemed to fade into the distance. “Why?” he finally asked. Agnes looked at him. “You know why.” “Because I'm not wealthy?” She nodded slowly. “They think you are not good enough for me.” Kay looked away. He had expected this day, but knowing it would happen did not make it easier. “What exactly did your father say?” Agnes swallowed. “He said I should think about my future. He says I need someone from a powerful family. Someone who can give me a luxurious life.” Kay gave a quiet, bitter laugh. “And what do you think?” “I think they're wrong.” She stepped closer. “I don't care how much money you have, Kay.” He looked into her eyes. “I may not have everything your parents want,” he said quietly, “but I know what I feel for you.” Agnes's eyes filled with tears again. “I know.” “I can work hard. I can build something for myself. Maybe I don't have much now, but that doesn't mean I will always have nothing.” “I know that too.” Kay reached for her hand, but before he could say anything else, something strange happened. Every light surrounding the abandoned mansion suddenly went out. Agnes froze. The city beyond the gate remained bright, its skyscrapers glowing against the night. But inside the mansion's courtyard, darkness covered everything. Kay looked around. “What happened?” “I don't know.” Agnes moved closer to him. “Kay, this place wasn't like this before.” He took out his phone and turned on the flashlight. The beam moved across the courtyard. Nothing. No people. No movement. Then Agnes heard something. She tightened her grip on Kay's hand. “Did you hear that?” “Hear what?” “A voice.” Kay listened. At first, there was nothing except the distant sound of traffic. Then a woman's voice whispered from somewhere within the darkness. “Some love stories are never allowed to end.” Agnes gasped. Kay immediately turned toward the mansion. “Who's there?” No answer came. The lights suddenly returned. The courtyard was visible again. There was nobody there. Kay slowly looked toward the roof of the mansion. For the briefest moment, he thought he saw a figure standing there. A woman. She appeared to be wearing a long white dress. Kay blinked. The figure was gone. “Did you see someone?” he asked. Agnes shook her head. “No.” Kay looked at her. “I thought I saw someone on the roof.” Agnes looked toward the mansion. “Maybe we should leave.” Kay nodded. But before they reached the gate, Agnes stopped. “Kay.” He turned. She looked at him with sadness in her eyes. “I don't want to lose you.” “You won't.” “But my parents are serious.” “So am I.” Kay spoke gently. “I don't know what the future holds. I don't know whether your father will ever accept me. But I don't want us to give up simply because someone thinks money determines a person's worth.” Agnes smiled through her tears. “You always know what to say.” “Only when I'm talking to you.” She laughed softly. For a moment, the tension disappeared. Then Agnes looked back at the mansion. The mysterious voice still troubled her. “Kay, what if that woman was real?” He looked toward the dark windows. “I don't know.” “Do you believe in ghosts?” Kay smiled. “Not until tonight.” Agnes laughed again. “That's not funny.” “I'm trying to make you feel better.” “It isn't working.” They slowly walked toward the gate. Neither of them noticed the shadow standing high above them. The mysterious figure watched silently from the roof. Then the wind moved through the ancient tree. One silver-colored leaf fell gently to the ground. Kay and Agnes disappeared into the busy streets of Silverstone City. Behind them, the abandoned mansion became silent once again. But the woman on the roof remained. She looked toward the direction in which the young couple had gone. Her expression was impossible to read. A century had passed. Yet the promise remained. And for the first time in many years, the ancient secret connected to the mansion had begun to awaken. The next morning, Agnes would face her father. Kay would be forced to confront the man who believed he was unworthy of his daughter. And neither of them yet knew that their meeting beneath the ancient tree was not an ordinary meeting. It was the beginning of a story that had started long before either of them was born. A story of love, family, wealth, loss—and a promise that refused to die.
