“Look, you can stay in the guest room. I can get you some suppressants-“
“Medicine doesn’t work on vampires. Our metabolism is too fast.” Alexi said.
“Okay, well heat does go away after a while, even if you don’t mate.” Ryder said, running a hand through his hair. “You can stay in one of the guest bedrooms until it goes away-“

“I can help show them how to fight them off, Nina. Don’t worry. You need to get better first.” Alexi looked at Ryder, his brows furrowed in determination. “Where is the guest bedroom? I’ll get her settled in.”
