Ophelia breathed in deeply, enjoying the fresh air and the feel of the sun on her skin. It was the morning after.
“You feel better after your morning meal?” I teased.
“Always.” She said with a smirk, looking at me with a raised brow. She glanced over to where Xavier and Grayson stood together, watching us and staying near. “It sucks I’m on a watch detail though.”
“I promised Ryder I’d teach you everything about what it is to be a vampire.” I said, shrugging. “Last night’s little discussion certainly helped, didn’t it?”

“Our human bodies are naturally inclined for the sun. The mutation isn’t that drastic, apparently.” I shrugged, “I don’t know much about how it works myself, truth be told.”
