Monalisa's POV
I stepped down from the cab and paid the driver as he zoomed wearing a confused look. I am sure he must be wondering why someone who is visiting such an affluent family would go with a cab. This is all Alex fault.
After we left mum's house, I thought we were going home but all of a sudden he brought the car to a halt. He asked me to get down and use a cab because he had an important meeting to attend to.
All my protestations fell on deaf ears as he was adamant to watch me go home on cab while he goes to attend his stupid meeting in his car.
I am sure the important meeting is that of Lisa because she kept on calling and texting him. Maybe she is angry that Alex spent almost the whole day with me and that jerk decided to Leave me stranded to go appease his girlfriend.
