We both glanced at each other as we awaited mum's response. Alex looked so relaxed and I am sure he must be hoping for mum to say No to our marriage and probably, he would take advantage of the situation to push for a divorce.
Or maybe he is not as bad as I think he is. I mean if he didn't come to my aid, I wouldn't have known how to tell mum about us. I might have even ended up hurting her but from the look of things, mum is still calm and it's all thanks to Alex.
