It was half an hour before nine o’clock in the morning. Libby and Toby were ready to open Pastry Mystery again. Even though they received many compliments at the baking competition yesterday, they didn’t want to expect much that many customers would come and crowd their deli. The only person they expected to come was Nadine. She supposed to show up an hour ago but she was nowhere to be found. Her smartphone was also off and Libby couldn’t reach her in her motel as well. “Maybe she stayed at Russell’s mansion last night,” guessed Toby. Libby nodded, he could be right.
