Liv
Running through the land wasn't much. It was a speed of high. All I got was an endless need to clear the land. And my mate was at my side. He may not approve my present here but he knew damn well I will not stay to comfort others unless I am on my own tranquility that it's clear.
We clear off just a few feet into the woods to see struggle all around. Finding path was unknown when the growling and clashing was everywhere. My own nerves shifted to focus on my view rather the outer. I couldn't make a sense of which way. But my mate did.
I follow his lead and stayed closed just like he asked of me. He will nudge my arm to edge a side before I stray.
A loud echo of screams came near. We head out to see a battle. I ran up when two of our owns were up against three. They kept their backs at each other. I saw a opening and took it to help my Deltas. I knock his body over against a tree. The Deltas didn't flinch to our motions like the others did. Our Deltas fought to end their opponents while Travis took the lead to end the other from my hands.
Once that was done we breathe a second. Travis orders his deltas to head for more if they can. They nod and shifted to their wolves. Running more.
My attention was else where by that moment. I had a swirl of feeling in my gut. It lead more out from where we were. I try to close off everything just to hear. I try to sense or make a voice or who it was. But it was mushy and groans mix with heavy breath added on to the ill chuckles I heard.
"Baby? What's.."
My head snapped when Travis's voice came through the noise. "Something happen." I tell him.
You see his posture tense up. "Okay. Let's-"
"The lake." I muttered once it hits me. That was the mushy noise over everything.
My instincts kick in as Luna. Before Mr. Alpha can demand me orders, I had already headed off towards the lake to review the scene that drummed into my ears.
I speed through branches and trees. The lake was far and the screams came louder and louder in my canal.
I slowed down when the water was clear to my sight. I can sense the men around the edges were ours, so I weren't on alert.
"Status?" I asked the nearest Delta.
"A few dive in not knowing. Our Deltas kept going. Drown a few. Others sped off. They went different directions so our Deltas split." He explains.
I see how the bodies are face down. And around the other edge were just dead ones. I watch on how they pull each one out. Dragging them to the surface. The two Deltas retreating the bodies begin to cough. I can smell the poison making their way. They had been here a bit too long.
"Okay, go to the clinic and go forth with the rest. Don't take long to receive your treatment."
"Yes, Luna."
As they nod their heads I waited for them to leave the waters. They make eyes at me to see what to do next.
My attention follow in the lake. I counted the bodies as they floated all around. My hand cups up to send an ends. My whole hand glows a beautiful fiery shade. And as I stare deep into the water a small whisper allows the flames to engulf the lake in flames, burning the remains.
"Well, that's one way to solve the problem." A Delta joke as he chuckles at the scene.
"Damn, man." The other sighs to the ground while kicking the bodies he had just retreated. I felt annoyance but ignores it.
The flame rose high. And as the Deltas explain their take on the trespassers, Travis runs up to us. "Elizabeth?"
I met his very, very Alpha pissy eyes. "I'm fine? You?" He nods. As he stood beside me. He clawed at my side to come towards him. But I push as I continue to listen to the Delta.
"Report says there's many others. They ran from either side."
*RING RING *
Travis whispers my name but I hold my finger up to both him and the delta while I answer the call. Again Travis claws at me for range. "Connie?"
"Almost clear here. Some Deltas and Degrees are making it back on this side. They said they split after the attack and some more when they heard us coming after."
"Okay, scoop again and we'll meet after."
"Got it girly. Be safe."
"Same."
I hung up and tell all the gentlemen the clearing on the other side. I order them to head out if they're still able.
"Babe?" Travis pulls my hand but I brush him as I continue to order them to other sections to clear and scoop. This was a kill as needed. As well as a catch and release, dead later.
We needed a few of these trespassing dogs to get some kind of lead. This wasn't how this day was suppose to go and I know by their kind what this will mean. So for someone to take action on such a day, there had to be a big reason other than my title.
I get links pulled aside with Travis that explains more clearings. But we still have larger grounds to check. They stated a few are being catch now. It was really the slow ones. Others are now dead on spot. Most of the werewolf shifters were not left alive which is fine. Less warriors for whoever planned this. Travis barked for them to keep going. Kill as many as they can. If they're stray hold them down for answers later.
Out of link I continue my duties but of course my Alpha was in need of a chat. I try to walk off and search marks on the bodies on the lake's edge. But Travis had yank me up.
"Babe! What the hell."
My brows furrow at him. "I'm not a damsel."
"Hush, woman. Just let me look at you for a damn second."
He brush his claw like hands over me. As if to view marks of any. But I barely ran into anyone. This was my first sighting.
"Are you done." I bite back.
His eyes snapped. He wasn't amused and I'm very aware. I knew his reason for checking me. And he held his exam well until we were alone. Yet, his eyes never left my body. They just shifted in bottle emotions towards me really. "You strayed."
"You were slow."
His eyes flick and Malcom grips me tight. I stick my head up and didn't bark back this time. I have a sharp tongue I know. Both my mates adore it too but to an extend.
A flame hit when his other hand reach my face. "I will never forgive you if you allow these mutts to kill you under my watch. Do not give them openings." He warns me.
I search in him. I should trust and know better from my mates. But so should they.
"Malcolm." He growls to me in displeased. "I will never allow that without a fight. Besides my time is not now-"
"The unkilledable can still be killed." His remark was plasted on his face and I feel the pin. It hit and I hate myself. I hated the pain I always give them with no ease.
"Trust me, my Sweet Wolf. I'll be okay, if I stray too far. I'll call the minute I need you. I can protect us even alone."
Malcolm's hand reach my nape. Clawing at my skin. "You run towards me if I say so. The SECOND I feel any restrain I will link you and you run to me. Do you understand, Luna?"
Fuck that dominate voice did wonders to my core. Even at a time like this it flare such desire. And they knew. A spark in their eyes. And a depth of their claws in my skin said it.
I nod respectively. "Yes, Alpha."
He lets go. Closing his eyes to allow Travis to surface back. His eyes lighten in hollow pitch. And his jaw jumped in bitter ache.
"Your life matters the most. Okay."
"So does yours."
A Delta calls Travis over. He didn't engage as he kept my hold. I reach for him, squeezing his hand. One last assuredness that I'll be okay. We are on our land. There may be uncountable trespassers. But even as I head in my alone. I know I am truly not alone in this.
"You boys be safe. And later we'll dance under the moon."
My heart moved as he allowed his tight Alpha ass to smile under such event. He fell as my Alpha to my husband fast. "Deal." He breathed finally.
One wink and I flew. I knew Travis will deal with the bodies while the Delta left there did his search for me. I only hope there are some kind of markings we can use to find out where these wolves came from.
On my own I take a mix of my hybrid power to help me make a lead. I search the sky and the ground to see my next step. At this time I only stopped in one or two parts to catch a scent. I smell blood and only saw 2 bodies. I kept going as the trails I read leads to them still over our grounds.
Why are they not trying to head out. Are they lost are they playing a game?
Either way, they'll get caught if they stay here. My people will find them. They will all be hunted down to their last breath.
My feet zoom pass every crumbling leaf. I didn't use my vamp speed much but every time I do it feels like I am floating. It felt so good to feel the breeze in a soft glaze. Even the crows circling the ground above makes it all seem so unreal. There's less crows now. Which is good. But still a lot that tells me we still have some trespassers. But as a few fly off I get the sense the unwanted wolves are just now making their way out. Which means this game they played will soon be an end.
I link the pack to inform them of the change. They kept their guards up and keep their necks out. Syncs of howls hit and it wasn't our pack. They gave my motive the green. And right away I heard Malcolm send a blast of a growl through the air that rattle the whole woods. He froze every molecule in sight. Even I stood to hear and refocus my footing.
I resume my tactics.
Not long, I see a small vile of flash. I head towards to see a witch fighting off a werewolf. He wasn't too big but the witch also wasn't able to over power him. She only had her basic magic to fight. And that doesn't go too far when your emotions are rattle. I can smell her fear and her magic drain from it.
I make the first move to attack. My hand welded down in a stand to hold the wolf in place. He falls to his knees as I pull unto his transformation. He screams in pain as I force him to shift back to his human form against his will. Keeping him down, I send a wave of shock that kept his bones grinding against him. He's unable to move and I hurry. I face the wolf and order the witch to flee. She has marks over her and blood seeps out her shirt. Over her face she doesn't seem in pain but I hear her heart skip to pump the dying blood cells.
"Arg! You stupid bitch." He snarl in a cocky grin. "Oh well. Someone else will get her."
My hand falls down as he rise to his feet. He was naked head to toe but that didn't matter. "Oh, glory to the hybrid BITCH." He chuckles.
My back straighten. I wasn't in the mood to talk. "Let's hurry up. I got better things to do. But I'll make it easy for you."
My hands flick a light to disarm my magic. And my fangs extend to reveal my Vampire side to surface.
"You'll still die one day among us all."
I nod. "Perhaps, but you won't be alive. Now, let's do primal shall we."
He grins happily as he strive to me.
In seconds I block his hit. Rocking him to the side. He falls back and flashes his eyes. His heart settle and it boosts my drive.
We go again. He speeds around me when he got a hit to my chin. My head snapped back as I turn to my side to rise my leg high while it pushes full force. He spits blood from my kick to his chest. He runs up thinking he can win. In a mislead he wraps himself over me to pin me to the tree. He tries to choke me out until my hands wall up to dig my nails into his eyes. He screams in agony and I fall down to kick him.
Wiping the blood he snarl. I wrap my hand to drag his feet to me. He attacks with a hidden wooden weapon. He was getting weak. Blind in one eye as I take hold of his arm to ball back. Dropping his weapon the second he tries to stab me. A small pain hit bit it wasn't much.
I snap his arm as he howls. I had him right in my fangs. And he chuckles. "What's funny? Your death?"
"Death isn't much but your exist is humorous. So go on do what your kind does."
"I am my own kind."
"Ha, this flock will di-" before he spoke more vile I roll my eyes to sank my fangs in his neck. My hand traps his air until a small gasp escape. I feel the last drop and his body limp to my joy of taste.
"Yeah, whatever dog."
I drop his body. Cleaning my mouth with just the tips of my fingers. Feeling a great joy to getting my own hands dirty for my family I'd gain.
I take a step away to regain my motive. The odd thing was I got a fuzzy ache running through my whole body the second I try to move. I trip back to the fuzziness. "Whoa."
I settle myself right. Closed my eyes for a second and everything change within me. I had no clue what the hell it was but all I knew was that I had this fiery urge I couldn't contain. My mouth water to its only primal need and I try to shake it off. But I couldn't. It was pulling on me more and more. I try to pull my fangs back but they prolong as if they sharpen more. My eyes are bright red and I can't focus on my witches side.
"Damn it. Come on, Elizabeth." I claw on my chest as if my own skin aches again as if it was my first. Everything was burning and I just couldn't fight the desperate need. A switch acted and all I wanted at the time was to fuel it.
It all got so intense I began to sense blood from a far. It almost smelled as similar as this wolf before me here.
I look back at the body to see if maybe he was alive. Be his heart had stopped. I don't even think I left any blood there.
It grew and as I looked around to smell the air. My eyes some how can pin point the smell of each bodies vessels. It was odd but it also called me towards them. I can hear the blood pumping. I snarl softly to myself as if I had been starving for days.
"f**k this. It's nothing. I need to focus on being Luna. Get rid of these dogs. Now."
Saying the words send a trigger. Over the powering need I aslo now had a flame of rage that feed it all to my core. I couldn't calm down if I even tried. So I went off to just do what I can.
Where this is. It'll ease once I know these bastards are off my land or dead. I don't care if we don't have any to imprison. I just want them gone.
Time went over my head. I felt the wind more than I felt my soild ground. I saw red over it all. I felt nips and more. The over gosh of flavor was filling me from the pure heaven sound of dying howls. My ears burst from noise over noise but at the end all I heard was bones breaking and the slurping sound that came from the feast.
I knew these flashes but I couldn't take it all in at the time. It was like I was there and not there. Maybe watching and doing such things I didn't even think to be doing. I simply acted on this primal edge I never release before. But at the end I was fill with power and went for more and more.
If I smelled it near I went for it. I had no care. I had no feeling but this prime.
In a pure flow of easing edge I finally hit a wall. My head snapped up to find the moon. It shimmer to me. My first breath out was like my first drip of water. But that can't be truely right when blood was dripping down my chin.
Staring up to Moon Goddess felt so captive. I felt like I was free from such thing I couldn't explain yet I won't deny the high it gave me.
I try to close my eyes but I need the view from Goddess before I saw the c*****e I made. I fall to my ass as I sat on my knees. Took some more breaths and finally looked forward.
"Did I.." I question the scene.
I suck in a breath and switch an odd feeling in my mouth. I spit the item out and use my hand to help. "Ugh, there's fur in my teeth." I wiped my mouth over and over to remove and gunk.
I took more of the scene and saw the body at my feet was no other then a large werewolf.
"Um, okay. So, I did do that."
I fought a werewolf and killed it. And at some point I had use my teeth to ripped out its throat and drank its blood all at the same time. I lower my eyes to take it in. It was a hell of sight.
Wasn't long to accept it. I shrug it off really fast.
The intense feeling was lighting down but it still brew. I took my step out and as I thought to link my pack for updates. I smell something. I look over and I completely lost my nerves.
"Okay. So, I really, really did all that." I saw how bodies over bodies lead out from where I was. I can smell them even from out of sight. I couldn't quite count how many there were. But from this caged high I had and now. I knew I let my thirst control me.
"God damn it, Elizabeth!" I fought the tears and knew I killed for good but would the feeling of how it was done was pinning.
A full cast of shame hit when I knew I had to fix more demons of myself. I don't know how it happen. It wasn't a natural source but it also felt too natural. I can't read myself but the pin inside.
"And my dress. Damn it." I had wrapped my arms over myself to only feel my whole body drench in the blood of my victims. There were werewolves in both their forms scatter on through my path. And I knew it was me who ended all their lives like it was literally nothing to it.
I accepted the c*****e like my mate has told me before. And I'm fine by it. It was just this high I didn't like when it didn't feel like me. But as I try to think back. I remind myself of who I am. Of who I must be. To true to not feel that shame even when it is all I feel at the moment.
Everything I didn't sense at my rave collated within. I heard the links I didn't call back. I felt the bonds and my high primal. I soon smile but it drag. I was boiling in an aura I need to make sense of.
"I just need to.." I need a moment to think.
I need my peace.
I headed out to the one place I can go. I saw more bodies and I look over as if they're nothing but branches.
Making to my heaven I undress quickly. Casted my protection smell and had no care if someone was by. I just had to cleanse my body.
The coldness of the water from the lake felt so good. It was delicious even. I swim more and more until I fallen under. One full cast and I met Moon Goddess's glow. And the tingling beam Sun God gave me helped. They gave me no shame. They pulled love and warmth around me. Even a small butterfly flew circles.
But I still had to sit and accept. I can't head back like this. No one can know or see me like this. Not like this.
Right away I call the one person I know I can at this moment. In the connection we have they may already know. This is new and I don't know which part they'll get but our bond will lead towards each others more.
"Gamma?" I linked.
In a soft heavy voice I called to her within our link. I don't know how but I sense it like a mental cell. She answers and attends to me needs.
"Be safe on your way. Please."
"Don't worry, Luna. Kan will make my clearing to you."
I sigh in relief.
I laid my head into the water. Floated over the shimmer. My mind flutter back. Revisioning it all. Each time, Goddess sends a reassure breeze towards me. Knowing I must trust her. Even Sun God sends his own and I nod to their acceptance I must learn.
My hand flap down and helps keep me afloat."Drown my demons." I whispered to myself.
Yet, there are just like me. They will keep coming back. No matter what I do. They will also stick with me, so long as I live. I live aside my demons.
I closed my eyes to closest truth I can accept as my body trembles the waves around me. A pounding agony I've need to make amends with. While the my tears of emotions filled the lake more. I soak it all in and allow the lake to drown it until I can be myself again. Until I can face my people again.
I close my eyes tighter with the shaking breath I breathe, "Wash your sins, Elizabeth. Just wash the sins away."
For now.
