“Beep, beep, beep”, the electrocardiograph machine in the hospital sounded. Juliet laid on the hospital bed unconscious with her left leg bandaged. Juliet’s eyes were surrounded with dusty clouds as she tried to open them, regaining consciousness, “Mom”, she said in a faint voice. Her mom who sat beside her with tears in her eyes swiftly replied, “My darling, how are you feeling?” Juliet tried to sit up but felt a sharp pain in her left leg. “Ouch! What’s happening?” she cried. “Relax, dear, let me call the Doctor”, her mom tried to make her calm. As her mom went out, she held her head up to look at her leg. “Ohm no, this cannot be happening, no”, Juliet cried. Her mom was back with the Doctor and a Nurse. “Doctor what’s going on, what’s happening to me, my leg hurts, will I be able to walk”, Juliet sandwiched all the words while crying immediately Doc Bryan entered the room. The Doctor; Doc. Bryan, a billionaire surgeon and medical entrepreneur who exudes a sense of quiet confidence and authority with a commanding presence that inspires trust and respect, tall and muscular with broad shoulders and a strong jawline, has a hair dark brown, stylishly messy and his smile, charismatic and warm with piercing brown eyes seem to see right through to the heart of the matters replied with the most charming masculine voice ever. “We are still evaluating the situation. I will let you know as soon as we get the results. ”Despite the pain Juliet was in, on seeing the Doctor and hearing his charming masculine voice, she got so charmed. It was almost perfect. She steered at him for a while then turned to her mom who pleaded with the Doctor to do his best, saying, “She is all I have.” The Doctor examined Juliet’s leg and said confidently, “I believe you will be okay.” “I will definitely do my best,” He said. “I am Doc Bryan, if you need me at any point, do well to ask of me from the receptionist and she would put a call through to me immediately, but the Nurse here with me would be coming to check from time to time”, he added “I would not hesitate to do that Doc Bryan”, Juliet’s mom replied before Doc left the room with the Nurse. As Doc Bryan left the room, Juliet’s thoughts became so filled with the charming voice and physique Doc possessed. Meanwhile, Doc Bryan had already told the Nurse to bring Juliet’s file to his office. Sited in his office, Doc Bryan felt so bad for what had happened to Juliet. He felt even worst that it was all his fault. There was a knock on his door, “Come in”, he replied jerking out of his thoughts. The Nurse entered the office with a large blue file bearing Juliet’s first name and surname. “Here you go Doc”, she said handing the file over to the Doc “Thank you”, he replied. “Is there any other thing you would like me to do”, the Nurse added. “None for now, you can leave”, Doc. Bryan replied sharply. Doc. Bryan reviewed the x-ray results of Juliet’s leg, “This is really bad”, he muttered, placing his left palm on his forehead while his right hand rested on the file. *** "Good evening, Mom," Doc Bryan said to his Mum as he walked into his house, his face etched with concern. "Good evening, Son," his Mom; Miss T, a woman of elegance in every aspect of her being, who was reading a Forbes Magazine replied, noticing the weariness in his voice. "How was your day?" "Not so good," he replied, his shoulders slumping in defeat. "Anything you want to share?" his mom asked, her eyes filled with empathy. "Yes, Mom," he said, walking towards her. “Come, sit”, his Mom said patting the other side of the Sofa she sat on. He sagged on the Sofa, right next to his Mom, releasing a sigh, "First of all, I caught Sophia cheating on me again” “That silly girl”, his mum replied disgustedly. “I warned you never to go back to her, she is literally a gold digger, sorry about that my Darling”, his mum added. “I know Mom, you told me that, but I just seemed to love her so much”, Doc Bryan replied sadly. “But that is not even the actual issue”, he added, his face dropping as his fingers clicked against each other. “There’s more”, his Mom asked, looking more concerned as she dropped the magazine on the side stole and turned to face him “Yes Mom, while driving from her place, I had an accident”. His mum’s eyes spread wide open. He continued, “ The driver had a slight injury, he has been treated and he is fine now but his passenger, a lady; she had a dislocated leg, she has been stabilized but there are very slim chances that she might walk again, I feel so terrible that I caused that”, lighting his very depressed face to his mum. His mom's expression turned somber. "I'm so sorry to hear that. But I believe you will do your best to help her and you would be fine" "Exactly what her mom said," Doc Bryan replied, shaking his head. "She told me to do my best, that Juliet is all she has." His mom nodded understandingly. "I totally understand how she feels, she’s being a mother." Doc Bryan nodded, his eyes welling up with emotion. "Juliet, what a lovely name. I believe she would be fine” “I hope so mum”, he said getting up “I need to get some rest now, I have an early start tomorrow, goodnight Mom”, he added giving his mom a kiss on her forehead. “Goodnight Son, all will be well”, she replied. *** In Juliet's hospital room, Juliet’s mom sat beside her, holding her hand. "Mommy, have you had something to eat?" Juliet asked, her voice weak. "No, my dear, I'm fine," her mom replied, forcing a smile. "Mommy, do you think I will walk again?" Juliet asked, her eyes creating a compound of tears. “You would walk again, I believe it so much”, her mom replied, her voice filled with conviction. "Thank you, Mom," Juliet said, feeling a sense of peace wash over her. "I feel sleepy; I think you should sleep too." "I don't feel sleepy, but you can sleep," her mom replied, stretching her hand to smooth Juliet's hair. "I'll just sit here and watch over you."
