Entry 29 I’m not going to lie. I thought for sure that Diego would ask me to stay. Instead, he seemed frustratingly okay with my announcement that I was leaving, as if this had been the agreement all along. I guess it kind of had been, but I had been secretly hoping that the intimate and caring relationship we have been developing would change things. Apparently, that had been wishful thinking. It wasn’t like he sounded happy about my impending departure, but he also didn’t sound like the thought of it made his stomach do somersaults, which is how mine feels whenever I let the idea worm its way into my mind.
