Entry 8
Well, I shouldn’t have written down my concern over Diego’s looming nights off. It was like a self-fulfilling prophecy. The good news is that he did make a point to tell me goodbye before leaving and that he’d see me in just over 48 hours.
Now I’ve been wracking my brain trying to figure out if that notification meant anything. Surely he doesn’t tell all of his patients’ sisters his schedule, does he? Or was it just a common courtesy?
I know he treats me like I’m special, but that might just be his outstanding bedside manner. Is he like that with everyone, or am I different to him?
One thing I know for sure is that the nurse who works when he is off is not nearly as personable as Diego. I’ve been calling her Nurse Ratched in my mind. I just hope I don’t accidently let that slip
