Entry 7
We have settled into a fairly regular routine. Mom and Dad are here by Nixie’s side during the day. I have completely taken over the night shift with her. Trent pops in whenever he has a spare moment. We’ve already noticed that his visits with his wife are becoming shorter and less frequent. So much for her supposedly doting husband… I guess I had no reason to be jealous of that facet of her life.
The highlights of my nights are when Diego makes his rounds. I have never met anyone who is so upbeat, funny, and charming. His visits always make me feel happier. And yes, I know I shouldn’t be feeling anything resembling happiness while my sister is unconscious, but it’s hard to be anything but joyous when he focuses his attention on me.
