Chapter One
Chapter One Gentle clouds floated high in the sky, overturning a golden glow down below. Feathers flew everywhere as the sun shined high in the sky. An endless sea of pure white and gold adorned the area in a milk honey dream. Angel feathers continued to float upward. A young woman with long dark chocolate hair, bubblegum mauve streaks, coffee almond shaped eyes, thin pert pink lips with an oval face glanced up at the sky. She had a honey complexion and a slim petite figure stood at an angelic shaped gate door. She wore a white sundress, white flip flops, her long hair flowed with the wind as the curls bounced to the sides. Her feminine hands moved her hair back as she saw the gate door slightly sing a tune. She turned her head back to see golden trees and star shaped crystals hanging from the trees. White feathers flew everywhere as she turned back to glanced at the gate door. She began to move forward to reach it when a masculine voice caught her attention, “fair maiden, I wouldn’t touch the gateway yet.” She turned around to see no one. The young woman peered in every direction to hear slight hymns singing from different areas with a soft melody. “Who are you?” she softly called out. The winds picked up her hair once more then swung it to the side. The voice sounded again then chuckled, “fair maiden, I will let you know who I am all too soon.” The winds almost kissed her lips as she touched her lips looking at the feathers falling in different directions. The figure watched her from afar then smiled. The young woman turned to the gate door then looked down at her hands noticing herself disappearing. **** Light refracted off the pillar columns that stood in the background as three figures approached three chairs overlooking a massive gateway. The large pillars covet the clouds cascading across the ground. Feathers floated all around as the three figures moved toward golden and snowy colored chairs. The three figures sat down. The one in the middle wore a red and black ring. The one on the left wore a sea green ring and the one on the right wore a silver and gold ring. All three figures looked at the opposing gateways. “Have we found the fair maiden who is to help us?” the one on the left. “She has been already found,” the one in the middle said. “Her name is Kimora and I will make contact with her,” the one on the right said getting out of the chair. The figure turned away from the others and started to walk to an oval door with a symbol of golden and silvery dove feathers. “Be careful and seek out the fair maiden, for she is the only one to help,” the one in the middle noted. **** The birds slowly chirp at windowsill. The sun rose in the sky as the clouds cover some of the sky. The long drapes flow back and forth with the wind as it seeped into the room. The sunrays deflected off the vanity mirror showing a purple, white and pink room. Some images of the moon, rabbits and angel wings were painted onto the walls. A purple and pink comforter covered the body of the young woman as she snored loudly on a queen-sized bed. An alarm clock went off as piano music played on it. A hand reached out from he covers and began to hit the alarm. A groan emerged from the covers as she moved upward rubbing her eyes. She pulled the covers more off herself as she stretched her body. Science and medical books were stacked on a brown desk in the corner. Some music boxes sat on the shelves above her bed. Other book shelves were lined across the room with science, medical and non-fiction books. The young woman gradually got out of the bed and stood in her pajamas looking at the window over the Pacific Ocean. She sighed as the seagulls flew down from the air current and landed on the beach. Many people were moving about on the beach, walking, chatting or running. Some dogs ran with their owners. Some other people bathed in the sunlight. She looked up at the sky to see the skies began to clear. “Was it a dream?” she asked herself. **** Two women looked upon a massive river flowing in and out of a large cavern. Both dressed in long dark togas. One had dark course hair pinned up, dark emotionless eyes, pale skin of the night, pink lips and a slim tall figure. The other had chocolate brown hair, white and black eyes of the night, sun kissed skin and red plump lips. Their eyes looked down at the waters and sighed. A shadowy figure with white ends appeared in the waters looking up at the women then disappeared. A ripple flowed outward as the figure disappeared. The women didn’t see the figure, yet a message was displayed tot them. “The waters speak different things and the tides toward to the other place are unyielding. The bridge between the places are broken,” the dark course haired woman said. “There is only one way to bring it together and it was forged a long time ago,” the woman with chocolate hair said casually. They ran their hands into the water and sighed, “she will be found, but there is only much time before it all falls apart.” The chocolate haired woman frowned at what the other woman said, “having more faith in what the power of this fair maiden will bring is important.” “We will need it when the time comes,” The dark course haired woman said forebodingly. Both women looked down the massive river turning down into several streams. They recognized that the time was coming where all their lives would revolve around this individual to rescue them. **** The winds blew hard and a white feather landed on her bed. She picked it up and pondered for a few seconds as it drew back to the morning dream. Kimora realized that she had been having those dreams for a long while now, for she would appear in the place and time. The dreams were becoming more real as she was unable to decipher how. Things were not as it appeared, but she was ruled by the dreams at times. She gradually got dressed and glanced outside to the ocean. Kimora felt the ocean air blow upon her. She was connected to the world around her and listened but at this time. Kimora continued to feel the ocean breeze flow against her skin. She closed the window then turned to get ready. As she walked out of the room, the window cracked, and a feather flew in. **** The gates appeared before her once more. She looked all around her and saw feathers blowing everywhere. She heard voices in the background. The sun shined hard over the trees. Three figures stood in the background as she gazed at everything around her. As she turned around, she didn’t see the three figures. Endless opened fields radiated against the pastel colors of life. Kimora sauntered to the gates that twinkled in the distance. She opened her hand as the feather landed in her hand. As the wind blew, she heard the gentle voice from before. A horse sounded in the air as the wind carried more feathers toward her. She looked in the direction of the sound and saw a majestic golden horned on a white stallion Pegasus flying toward her. She gasped as the Pegasus flapped its wings landing near her. She walked over to the majestic creature as if she was in a trance. The Pegasus made a horse sound then turned to her with ocean blue eyes. She smiled and approached the Pegasus carefully. She didn’t want to it flee. The horse peered at the maiden in this land. As she approached the Pegasus, the two figures disappeared then touched his mouth as it breathed. “Please don’t be afraid, for I won’t hurt you,” she called out. The Pegasus gave another sound then grinned at her with its eyes, “I know you won’t, fair maiden.” Kimora glanced around saw the endless vegetation and skies meld into one. She was scared and didn’t understand anything. The Pegasus ambled toward her and looked into her eyes with mystery. “You may call me, Pegasus, for now, but I mean you no harm,” Pegasus said telepathically to her. She gasped looking all around her, “where am I?” “You’re in Elysium and this is my world, I have been searching for you for such a long time,” Pegasus explained to her. She nodded slowly then turned around to see the world move and bend around her, “why have you been searching for me?” The golden glowed as he moved closer to her, “you have the power inside of you than what other mortals have. Your power is special, and it connects to Elysium.” She glanced up then saw the gates bend and move like spirals, “what does that have to do with me?” “Elysium is connected to all things on earth. The doorways to Elysium must be protected and I don’t have the enough power to do so. There is a great threat to Elysium and how it will come.” Pegasus motioned. Kimora frowned then put her hands over her ears. She didn’t understand, for he sounded like he needed her. She had a power deep inside that could protect Elysium, yet was fearful. “Pegasus, I don’t know if I can do that. You may think that I can do this, but I can’t,” she said insecurely of herself. Kimora turned and started running in the opposite direction of Pegasus. The lavender flower petals flew up in the sky as she ran. Kimora put her arm in front of her as she ran feeling the petals fly around her. The winds raged firmly as Pegasus watched her. He made a sound and flapped his wings widespread. Pegasus flew up in the sky. **** Two men with long hair tied behind their backs looked up at the sunrise coming over the mountain that stained the land. The two men held onto a sword, and a hammer. Each man studied the sunrise as they saw a blood stain upon it. Each man looked at the sunrise pondering what the change was. Over the mountain, the sun began to turn red as it harbored an omen of different things. Both men wanted to know how things were changing. Each turned their heads to the rivers below turning from a single one. The clouds grew restless around the ominous sun. Night almost faded as the sunlight refracted a dangerous intent over the lands. The tw men held onto their weapons sternly for they feared a battle would be upon them soon. **** Two men in long togas holding spears looked down at the river to see drops of blood and faces within the waters. Their eyes fixated on the drops of blood within the waters. They appeared worried as they stepped back and glanced up at the cavern around them seeing the cracks in the ceiling and faces forming on the outside of the waters. “We need to alert Hades,” one of the men said. The other man nodded then began to turn, then a dark cloud began to form in the distance. The river that separated it apart began to enforce a deathless curse that was becoming a void. The two men shook their heads for this was a different sign that Elysium was now in danger. As the men began to turn around, the dark cloud swallowed them whole. **** The sun moved higher in the sky and the feather laid on the ground. A hand picked up the feather and moved it closer to eye length revealing ocean blue eyes with flecks of golden amber and browns. He had a narrow face with almost pale look, and thin lips. He stood tall figure under the trees. He grinned coolly pocketing the feather. His white pale blonde curly hair contrasted to his surroundings. He wore a long mid-unbuttoned shirt with black slacks, leather shoes and silver-golden watch on his hand with an imprint of a unicorn. Other people around him watched the stranger who appeared as if he stepped out of a painting. The man glanced at Kimora sitting down, reading a book titled, Elysium. She flipped through the pages casually. Kimora began to gasp, for she noticed that Elysium was an underworld. She stared up at a man who looked at her intently. She blinked her eyes, for she felt he was from somewhere she had met before. The man strolled over to her, “I hope I’m not intruding, but I was wondering if I could sit with you.” Kimora turned her head getting an odd feeling from him, “you may. What is your name?” “My name is Daxton and I just moved here,” he inquired. “I’m Kimora,” she giggled. “I see you’re reading Greek Mythology. Do you love it?” he asked. She laughed once more and placed the book down, “I do. I was reading this place about another underworld.” “And what do you think of it?” he said nonchalantly. “I never knew of it. I thought there was only one,” Kimora said abruptly. Daxton chuckled then leaned back in his seat and crossed his legs watching her, “Kimora, what you felt, and saw isn’t a dream.” She looked up at him in shock, “what are you talking about?” The winds shifted, and she felt a familiar pull once more, “your power is what will help Elysium.” She gasped, “Pegasus?” He nodded, “I wanted you know that it was more than dream. I am real and need your help.” Time stilled as they looked at one another. Kimora gradually got up, then took a step back and looked at everything around her and saw that time had stopped. She turned back to him and scowled. “Pegasus, what are you doing here?” Kimora asked him surprisingly. “Sometimes dreams are more important, and they need to be shown beyond the realm,” he said loudly. The feathers around him glistened and she could see the imprint shadow of angel wings. She glanced at them hard at that moment saw a tangible form of his Pegasus form. He outstretched his hand looking at her. “Kimora, Elysium is connected to earth as well. I am one of the priests and judges of Elysium. I know what was going to happen to it. I need your help to help restore it. I know there is a direct war coming. I can’t do it alone as I will need your help and power.” He remarked. Kimora peered at him as the winds swung between them. She was hesitant of this stranger in front of her. She didn’t know anything about him other than the dreams. Kimora shook her head and began to walk away, but he reached out and pulled her to him. The winds moved both of their hairs around each other, “please, I beg of your help as the situation has changed and what happens to Elysium also happens to the physical plane.” She blushed a little for he was a little close to her. Kimora removed herself from him and saw the form of Pegasus take flight into the air. He disappeared into the clouds. Time moved back to normal. Some feathers moved about as she looked back at everyone. People moved and about as if nothing happened. A feather floated down in her hand and she glanced down at it. Kimora peeked back to the clouds for Daxton or Pegasus. The thought of him needing her to save Elysium was petrifying. She was uncertain of what he truly was. Kimora didn’t know if she could trust him. **** The rivers moved back and forth over a long one that spun into the deep caves and moved into an endless void of springs. A man with a long gray beard, white and gray eyes with black lined energy surrounding it. He was tall and muscular that of the gods. A white toga to the ground flowed as he walked. His curly hair stirred with the wind. He looked up at the stars around him and frowned at what he saw. He turned his head and saw the image of a girl, Kimora with Pegasus. “So, who are you?” he asked openly. In the shadows, two figures came out looking at the star seeing Kimora. The figure on the right had golden hair of the sun and buttery eyes that shined like diamonds. She wore a cream toga to the knee, which was over the shoulder. Her hair was braided in spirals covering over the back in ripples. Her pale skin contrasted to the darkness and endless waters around her. The one on the left, bore dark chocolate hair and had lime eyes that of the greenest spring. She had a long skirt and a banded bra like cloth around her breast area. Her hair fell in short curls to her neck. She had leather wrapped over her clothes and grinned at the man before them. Both women were tall as they glanced at the man. The one on the left’s skin glittered under the darkness, as both of them looked up at the scenery. “So, does did the little priest found someone?” the one on the right asked. He turned around and sneered at them, “Eris, why have you come?” “I had to show Enyo what you were up to. I needed to tell her of your plan to overthrow Elysium, Cronus,” Eris said sinisterly. “And what do you want to do, Eris and Enyo?” he glared at them. “Zeus has placed you here in this offset, for one cannot get rid of a titan clearly. We offer our allegiance and assistance. We like what you are proposing of wanting to control Elysium.” Enyo commented. Cronus strolled over to them and smirked, “I didn’t whisper my plan. I suppose you went to the fates, for what is to come?” “We have and want in, for it would appear that Elysium could come to your heels. Once that does then the underworld will be ripe for the picking,” Eris indicated. “What does the daughter of Zeus and her accomplice in crime, desire from me? I was overthrown by my own son. I have been placed in Elysium to guard with these other so-called priests and judges. The two realms of Elysium should only be controlled by one titan, not virtuous mortals that Zeus placed there.” Cronus growled excessively. “We want to gain more power and offer more to you as what we can do. We can move between the realms and wreak havoc. We can be your eyes and ears. We want a piece of what you will gain.” Eris signaled. Enyo smiled and moved closer to Cronus. Both women looked at him with lingering eyes. They wanted him to trust them, but in this moment, he had to listen to their plotting. Cronus glanced at them thoughtfully, for he felt he needed the help, but he knew of their natures. Cronus couldn’t trust them fully, but would perhaps later double cross them. He beamed inwardly for Eris and Enyo would be good allies to have for now. “I accept your proposal,” he said in a sinister way. They grinned at him and knew their time would come to shine over the other gods. They needed to take the road to Elysium.
