Chapter Eight
Minutes later, Persephone appeared on her throne and glanced up at Hades petting Cerbus in the corner. She exhaled and sauntered over to him. He sensed her presence and turned around. Cerbus laid down and he opened his arms to her.
“My love, what is it?” he asked concerned as she rushed to him.
“Something is wrong with Elysium,” she articulated to him.
“How so?” Hades asked her.
She hugged him a little snugger. “I had an audience with Melinoe and she told me some disturbing news. The other gods don’t know that Elysium must have a sacrifice in order for it to stand and she worried what he would say once he found out.
She gazed up at him with fretful eyes, “Elysium—”
