Ben's Point of View
I can't have been out long. Maybe 30 seconds at the most. I opened my eyes and started blinking frantically in the thick smoke that seemed to be surrounding me. I could feel heat coming from a fire and turned my head slightly to see the car that I had been running away from burning. A sea of red and orange flames licked across the undercarriage of the vehicle before engulfing the bodywork. It caused the paintwork to blister, c***k and melt, causing a sickening smell.
Despite the strong smell of burning paint and rubber, there was another smell that was far much worse. It was the smell of burning hair and flesh and it made me gag to the point where I brought up stomach bile.
