Chapter 66

1374 Words

Blake's Point of View. After the vomiting incident in my own restaurant, Marco had made me a cup of coffee to try and cancel out the whiskey I had consumed for breakfast. It actually worked and after some breakfast I actually felt like I was capable of existing for the day. Marco sat with me whilst I was eating and refused to leave when I told him he could go home. He barely said anything at all to me. He let me get on with my own thought process. I'd opened my mouth a couple of times to ask him things, but I didn't know where to start. It turned out I knew very little about the world. It turned out there were creatures living in the shadows and I had been clueless about their existence. "You look like you want to ask me something," Marco commented when I opened my mouth again.
