Burnt Skies

Chapter 3

We are now in the lunch room and almost everyone is already sitting down and eating.

We get in line for our food and Molly asks "do you have your money for lunch?"

"No" I say shaking my head

"Nice going" she laughs

Brody comes up next to us and says "it's okay I have extra money so ill just pay for your food" he gives Molly a smirk and hands me the money.

"Dude this is $20 i don't need that much for lunch" i say

"Keep the change" Brody smiles and walks away to his table where most of the boys are sitting.

"I cant believe he just gave you the money, I could have given you some" Molly complains

"I know right" i reply shrugging, still a little shocked

Me and Molly get our pizza and go sit down at a table that was empty, until her friends sat down with us.

"Carmen this is Emily, Laura, and Hannah." Molly introduces

"Nice to meet you girls" I smile

Emily had curly black hair and bluish green eyes.

Laura had straight brown hair with blue eyes, and Hannah had brownish blond hair with green eyes.

We were just sitting there talking, eating, and giggling.

*Brody's POV*

So Molly and Carmen went to sit down at an empty table with their pizza and then Molly's friends joined them, I was staring at Carmen admiring how stunning she looked when my friend Zach waved his hand infront of my face.

"Hello earth to Brody" Zach said and all my friends at the table started laughing.

"Just go talk to her Brody, we all know you want the new girl Carmen" they all smirked and wiggled their eyebrows at me.

"If i go over there and talk to her will you guys shut up about it?" I look at them annoyed

"Maybe" Zach said with a smirk

"Whatever, you're lucky i want to go and talk to her anyway" i said shaking my head

I walked over to their table and sat down right next to Carmen.

"whats up beautiful" I smile

She blushed and looked away slightly.

I just smirked and out of the corner of my eye i saw Zach walking over.

*Carmen's POV*

I saw Brody walking over towards us, he sat down right next to me and said "what's up beautiful", i felt my cheeks start to burn at his words, stupid cheeks he barely even said anything.

I mean he is hot, he has dark brown hair and his eyes are a stunning green color with dark blue around the edges.

While my thoughts were wandering I saw one of his friends walking over, he had blond hair and blue eyes.

His friend came and sat down next to Molly and put his arm around her waist.

"Oh Carmen, this is my boyfriend Zach" Molly introduced smiling at him

"Nice to meet you Zach" I say politely

"You too" he smiled

I felt Brody try to wrap his arm around my waist too, which made me scoot over a little farther from him, as I did that i felt him scoot over closer to me.

So i just got up to threw my tray away, while i was doing that this girl that looked like the head cheerleader started walking towards me.

When she reached me she grimaced and snarled out "listen new girl if i see you by my Brody again you will wish you were never born"

"Well nice to meet you too, i would appreciate it if you would call me Carmen, oh, and by the way, i don't even want Brody so just back off and leave me alone!" I rolled my eyes after saying that

Glancing at her one last time I decided to walk back to the table.

When i got there i noticed that Brody was gone, and Zach and Molly were making out.

"Are they always like this" i asked Laura while sitting down, and all of them nodded

I saw Brody walking over with two shakes in his hands, both of them were what looked to be strawberry.

"I figured you would want one" he said handing me one

"Oh thanks Brody that's really nice of you" i said with a smile

"Yep, see i can be nice when i want to"

We all laughed at him, then the bell rang signaling we had to go back to class, Brody walked me to my classroom and the day went by really fast, as soon as i knew it we were all walking out of the school heading out to our cars and going home.
