Chapter Four The next morning, Lexi was up before her alarm went off, telling herself she was just nervous about getting to work on time. Thoughts of moving back to Charles Town seemed inviting once more as she showered, thinking she could’ve caught a ride with Sophie if she still lived with her mom. Besides, something told her it might be a smart idea to avoid Max Renfro at all costs. She couldn’t be dazzled by his smile if she wasn’t in the same town as him. Dressed in her hot pink scrubs, Lexi tossed her lunch together and took her car key off of her keyring. She sent Tyson a text reminding him to come and work on her car, but she wasn’t shocked when he didn’t answer.
