Thursday seemed to drag by, especially since Sophie and Zach were full of all kinds of good natured ribbing about Lexi’s next not-a-date/maybe-a-date once she made the mistake of telling them about it. And Thursday night, she decided to go to church because she had been meaning to start going anyway. It had nothing to do with Max’s mention of life groups the night before, she assured herself.
