I'm helping Violet clean up the store because I literally have nothing else to do.
"I won't pay you," Violet's manager repeats as she walks past me. I roll my eyes.
"I know, I'm just bored," I repeat, but of course she ignores me to go talk to Nate. She could be a little more grateful that I’m cleaning for free.
"So... how about you get a job?" Violet asks, re-folding pants just so she can still be near me, "Not here, though, my manager hates you. But maybe at some other store."
"I don't know, I like my freedom," I mutter, "It gets boring, but at least I can do whatever I want. And I'll stop bothering you every day once I get a new place, don't worry."
