It’s six am. Victoria got up early to prepare some food for her and Cedrick. She has to make up with him. She felt sorry for him because despite all his effort of making her happy, she still finds herself in a mess as this she’s dealing. Forgetting Helena is another story but she wants to deal with what’s in front of her now. It’s been two months since Helena left. She didn’t make any communications to Victoria or to Valerie. The last time she talked to Val is when she told her she will come back but not so soon.
The missing part for Victoria is still a struggle. She regrets letting her go and choosing to back off from her. She doesn’t know if Helena still wants to be with her despite the fact that she is married. But she won’t do that, she’s not desperate enough to be like that. So now, she is carrying the load of her choice. It’s the best choice for her anyway, or is it? Does she have a choice? No. Because she is married and she can’t have a relationship with other people except her husband.
Cedrick got up with a pain in his head. He’s massaging his temple when he went out of the room, only in his boxer shorts. It’s undeniable that he has a good body shape. A lot of women will look at him for a second glance.
“Good morning!” Victoria greeted him with a smile. “How’s your head?” She also asked.
“Aah!” Still massaging his temple. “What happened yesterday? Why do I have this terrible headache?” She asked his wife.
“You came home drunk. Come sit down. I will make you some coffee and then a massage. What do you think about that?”
“I like that idea.” He smiled. He willingly sat on the chair while Victoria made two cups of coffee, one for him and one for her. After the coffee was made, she gave him the other cup and she lay down hers just beside his. She stood at his back and applied pressure on his head and temple. He closed his eyes and felt the sensation of the massage.
While Victoria was giving him a massage, he thought about concentrating on their marriage. The best thing she can do and start moving on with her life. Helena left to move on so she has to do it too.
But for Cedrick, he remembered what the detective told him yesterday. He suddenly opened his eyes.
“Okay, enough of it.” He told Victoria. He sat properly and drank his coffee. Victoria didn’t notice anything amiss so he sat down too.
He doesn’t want to be with her now. He remembered how angry he was yesterday. But he has no plan on confronting her.
“I have to rush. I need to do something urgent in the office. Sorry I forgot about it.” He lied, then stood up and walked away. Victoria gazed at him. He didn’t even finish his coffee.
Everything for Victoria is normal. She goes on with her life thinking that she will forget about Helena and she will focus on her marriage, but she doesn’t know how much Cedrick knew about his secret. The secret she thought might be between her and her Mother.
But she is unaware of what Cedrick is about to do. After a week of investigating about Helena Rivas and Sarah Lee, Mr. Moon gathered sufficient information about the two. He called Cedrick to give all that information. He’s sure that it’s enough for him.
“Do you have everything?” Cedrick asked him. They again talked inside Cedrick’s car to conceal their meeting.
“Yes, Sir. It shows that Helena Rivas is the Bestfriend of Valerie Sherman, your wife’s sister. She’s been working with Valerie but long gone to Mexico to visit her family. She’s a sommelier by profession and out lesbian. She’s been in a relationship with her ex for a few years. She’s been friends with your wife a few months back. They have been going out together and seen together and with your sister-in-law. But I guess your sister-in-law has no idea what is going on between the two. Nobody in their circle of friends knew.” He explained to Cedrick.
Cedrick frowned and gritted his teeth. “So, they have been fooling me all this time.” In his mind.
“For Sarah Lee, she’s been a waitress in a bar. Her life has been tough all these years. Changing work to another. She has no direction and is having relationships with men and women to gain money.”
“Are you certain with all this information?” He’s assuring him.
“Yes, Sir. I also talked to some people and followed her for quite some time.”
“Okay.” He sighed. “I want to ask you one more favor again.”
“My pleasure, Sir. What is it?”
“I want you to arrange a meeting with Sarah for me tomorrow. As usual, it has to be private.”
“Okay, Sir. I will check what I can do with that.”
“Oh, and by the way, when is Helena coming back?”
“She’s back three days ago and is staying in her new house. The address is there. She’s not back to work yet but friends said she’s planning to be back soon. She only needs to settle her stuff.”
After that meeting, Cedrick flipped those papers in his hand, one by one. He looked how Helena and Sarah looked. For him, as a man, they are beautiful. Helena can’t be seen of being a lesbian. She looked very modest and respectable. He flipped on Sarah’s profile. From the photo, you can see a woman with no direction in life. Full of makeup and blond colored hair. He shook his head. He can’t believe his wife loved these women.
In Helena’s new apartment. She’s been busy settling her things. She didn’t tell Valerie she’s back. She wants to surprise her. She decided to rent a new apartment for her new start. She doesn’t want to remember Victoria in that old apartment. She wants to forget everything from it. Her new apartment is way more spacious and has a balcony. It has two rooms too and the kitchen is even bigger. She doesn’t have a lot of furniture, which is why you can see how spacious the place is.
Tonight, she has a schedule of meeting her friend, George in a bar. George is a guy she knew in Mexico who was on a holiday. They have been hanging out there for quite some time. Sometimes, he brings his girlfriend along with them. He likes hanging out with her too because he sees how deep she is and how funny and outgoing she can be. Helena is the same, she feels comfortable with him and he treats her like her sister and bestfriend.
At exactly seven pm, George appeared at her doorstep in his pants and long sleeve t-shirt. She’s not even ready to go.
“Come in a sec, i have to finish my make up.” She told him. Her eyeliner is not even finished. Her hair is still messy.
“What is that?” George asks her. He laughed at how messy she looked. “You’re a mess! And why are you late?”
“Sorry, I have been doing something.” She closed the door behind George. “Take a seat. It won’t take forever, I promise.” She ran in her room and continued to finish her make-up.
George sat there in the living room patiently waiting for her. He scanned her place. He smiled. In his mind, this doesn’t look like a lesbian’s house. He’s been to his lesbian friend’s house but this doesn’t look like them. Maybe because Helena has a sense of art.
“Okay, let’s go!” Helena emerges from her room, fully dressed and her make-up is finished. She looks pretty but simple in her skinny jeans and button up blouse tucked in front.
“If people doesn’t know how lesbian you are, they think you are my girlfriend.” He joked at her.
“Eeww!” She replied with disgust.
They laughed together. They both know that their friendship will not go further than what they have. Helena treats him like a brother and George treats her like a brother not a sister.
If you are thinking of fun, both of them are the epitome of it. They mingle with other people and chit chat with them.
While they are having fun drinking and chit chatting and sometimes dancing, an eye is prying on them.
