Chapter 19

Victoria was shocked when she came from school. People are looking at her from head to toe. A look of disgust and disbelief. She had no idea what was happening. Until she came across a few girls talking in a corner.

“Speaking of the Angel!” One said while she was approaching! And all of them laughed.

“I thought she’s the silent, smart and decent person but, omg! She’s a w***e!” Another commented.

She walked past them, still unaware of what was happening. Until one of her friends approached her and grabbed to a corner.

“Oh my god! What happened yesterday?” She asked Victoria.

“What do you mean?” She asked back. She had no idea and was very clueless.

“You are in big trouble! People are talking about you and Sarah entering a hotel yesterday and what happened!” The friends told her.

“What?!” Victoria in disbelief raised her voice in shock. “Who told you that?” Now she panics. How did people from school know about it?

“I guess you were played, Victoria. I’m so sorry.” The friend apologetically told her.

Victoria doesn't know what to do. She felt like her heart stopped. Nobody knows about it rather than Sarah. It’s only between them.

She rushed to find where Sarah was. She looked everywhere. Running and panting while people looked at her in disgust. She couldn’t believe this was happening. Until she found Sarah in the canteen with her friends. She slowly walked to her, trying to control her anger.

“The woman of the day!” A guy friend of Sarah said while she’s closing to them.

“Okay, give me my five hundred bucks!” Sarah told him, cigarette on her fingers.

The guys, one by one, gave her a hundred bucks each. That is for the bet for bringing Victoria to a hotel.

Victoria grabbed Sarah by the hand and tried to pull her but Sarah pulled her hand away.

“What did you do?” Victoria asked. She tried to talk as softly as she could even though she wanted to scream at her.

“Oh, your fake girlfriend is here!” Another guy said.

Victoria looked at the guy. An annoying grin is seen on his face. Victoria wants to give that igly face a punch but she didn’t do it. She focused on Sarah who treated her like a stranger.

“I want to talk to you!” Her voice is gargling. She cannot control her anger anymore. She wanted to cry but she stopped herself. Sarah didn’t answer. She acted like she’s not there to confront her.

“Isn’t it obvious? The bet is over!” Another guy made a comment too and they all laughed except Sarah you just grinned. “We bet if Sarah gets you to go to a hotel and do the..” He demonstrated a s*x act infront of everyone. That made everybody laugh so hard again.

At that moment, Victoria came to her senses. She was fooled by Sarah. One big slap hit Sarah’s face then she pushed her so hard, luckily one of the guys catched her.

“I hate you!” Victoria said and ran away from them crying. She went straight in the girl’s comfort room and let out her disappointments, anger and frustrations. While she’s sitting there on the toilet bowl lamenting, she can hear people outside talking about what happened. Sarah put her in a big scandal.

From that day on, she avoided her and her friends but she became the talk of the school for being an easy to get woman and a w***e. Sarah made sure her reputation from that school will be destroyed. After that school year, she asked her Dad to transfer her into a better school. Luckily, her father agreed to it.

That’s her first heartbreak and a nightmare. And she told herself not to fall in love to the same s*x. But here she is again, fallen madly in love with Helena but unfortunately, things are not in favor of her.

After telling the story to her mother, she felt better. It seems like the loads in her heart lessen. But her problem now is how her mother reacts to it.

“Get to your senses Victoria! You already know that it’s not possible. You already got hurt once and now you want it again? What if that woman is the same as Sarah?” Her angry mother told her. And she’s so cautious that somebody might hear what they are talking about.

“Mom, Ijust want someone to listen to me, to tell me I will get through it.”

“Then get a grip! If Cedrick knew about this, I don’t know what is going to happen.”

“I don’t have a plan to tell her, Mom. That is why you are the one I called. And please understand me.”

“I do understand you but what I don't understand is how did you become like that?”

She took a deep breath. “I don’t even know, Mom. All I Know is I need help. I want to forget.”

Her mother stood up again and gave her a hug. “Just remember how your father is going to react about this and what he can do. You know your father.” She told her, it seems like telling her to be careful.

After the talk, Victoria went home and also her mother. But the detective that Cedrick sent to follow Victoria heard everything. He’s also shocked about what he heard. He shook his head every time. This is so big.

He called Cedrick to meet him. He wanted to tell him in person to avoid exploiting what he knew and also for his client's privacy.

Cedrick met him and they talked inside his car. Mr. Moon, the detective, told Cedrick all he heard from Victoria. Upon hearing, Cedrick is so furious but he tries to control himself. He acted cool in front of him but deep inside, he felt like being stomped and kicked. His pride has been stepped on.

“I want you to do something for me again.” Cedrick told Mr. Moon. “Can you do a background check on those women as soon as possible.”

“Okay, Sir.”

“As soon as possible, okay?” He added.

After that conversation, Cedrick gritted his teeth. He needs to do something to open his wife’s eyes. But how could he not know about this side of her? He never expected it. He has no problem with people in the LGBT community but his wife? He cannot believe it.

He went straight to a bar for some drinks. He needs it right now more than anything else. He ordered a glass of whiskey, just like water, he gulped it at once. The heat of the alcohol in his throat didn’t bother him. Ordered another one and another one until he drank four glasses of it. He felt the heat in his face. Thinking about Victoria being in love with a woman breaks him. His pride, his heart and his mind. He loves her so much and it’s hard for him to digest it.

He ended up drinking six glasses of whiskey until he decided to go home. He’s a bit tipsy. His face became red but he can still drive his car. When he comes home, Victoria is there waiting for him. He’s wife is the most beautiful woman for him. Now that he has alcohol in his system, she looks even prettier for him.

“Honey!” He greeted her and gave her a hug.

“Argh! Cedrick! You reek of alcohol.” She tried to push him but his hug was too tight to escape.

“You know that I love you right? You are the most important woman in my life. You know that right?” He asked her. He kissed her on her neck and on her cheek.

“Hon!” Victoria is trying to stop him and avoid his kisses because of the alcohol smell. “I know that. But why did you get drunk?” She asked, not knowing what the real reason was.

“I just want to have a good time. You know, I worked so hard and I don’t even have time for you. So from now on, I will make more time to be a husband.”

“I am not complaining and I am too, I worked more time lately. The important thing is we are together.” She assured him.

“I know. I know.”

“Come on! I’ll bring you to the room so you can rest.”

She helped him go inside the room. Undressed him and wiped him with a cold towel. Cedrick looked at Victoria while he was wiping him.

“Do you love me?” He asked from nowhere.

“What kind of question is that?” She asked back while she continued wiping his hair and face. He grabbed her hand and asked it again.

“Do you love me?”

She looked at him by the eye, smiled and gave him a kiss on his lips.

“Does that answer your question?”

“I want to hear it.” He insisted.

“Of course! I love you.” The answer he is waiting for. And she gave another kiss on his lips.

Victoria knows herself that her love for Cedrick is not as much as he loves her. In the rate of one to ten, her love for him is only four in their entire marriage life. She didn't love him before they got married but because of how Cedrick treated her, she learned how to love him. But now that she knew HElena and fell for her, that love lessened. But she already knows that it’s not fair for him.
