Secret Love

Chapter Three

"Awww, you're so cute." I teased and he covered his face with his hand.

"S-stupid!" He muttered but I clearly understood it.

"So what time do you start and finish?" He ask changing the subject.

"I start at 8 am sharp and finish at 10 pm." I replied, recalling what Leo had told me.

"Oh..." Was all he can say while he changed his face down the ground.

"What do you mean 'Oh'? Are you not proud of it?" I questioned.

"It's just that... we won't have enough time to hang-out with each other anymore." He said sadly and I sigh.

"Yeah, true. But look on the bright side, after I have earned enough money for my brother's operation, I will spend the whole week with you and that's a promise!" I tried lifting up his spirit which worked.

"Deal!" We shook hands and we played maybe for the last time, for now, until it was time for us to go home.

I slept early so I would be up early in the morning which I did the next day. I woke up at 6:30 am and did my daily routine. I wore my best attire then went to Leo's house. The guard let me in immediately and when I entered the house, Leo greeted me.

"Here's your uniform and the list that you're going to do. Now I hope you'll do your best here. Oh and if my children need help, please assist them." He said and I was shock that he has children.

I thought he only lives on his own.

"If you don't mind me asking sir-" He cuts me off.

"Leo would be fine." He smiled.

"Y-yes sir! I-I mean sir Leo, I mean Leo! How many children do you have? If you don't mind me asking?"

"Well, the eldest one is Psalm then Rain, Ralph, Jericho, Trisha, Danielle, Shane, Stella and Simon." He counted all of them and I was over-whelmed. "So basically there's ten."

Must have been hard for the mother

"Stella and Simon are my real children and the rest, I adopted them." He stated as if he just read my mind.

"Oh..." that's good then!

"Anyways, your work starts now. When you finish one of your job early from the time you have been given, it would be your free time. If you have any question, you could just ask my children if one of them is around." He explained and I nod.

"Yes sir! I mean sir Leo! I mean Leo!" I said and he chuckled before leaving.

I scanned my eyes on the list that he gave me.

8:00 am- Clean the library

8:30 am- Cook breakfast for everyone

9:30 am- Clean the dishes

12:00 pm- Cook lunch for everyone

1:00 pm- Clean the dishes

2:00 pm- Clean the pool

5:00 pm- Clean the gazebo

6:00 pm- Clean the garden

7:00 pm- Cook dinner for everyone

8:00 pm- Clean the dishes

9:00 pm- Clean the library

10:00 pm- Home time

I was confuse that there's two cleaning the library on my schedule but who am I to complain. It's not that much, I think I can manage it. Alright, to the library! I slapped my face mentally when I realise that I have no idea where the library is. I searched for Leo but had no idea where he went.

"Guess I have no choice but to look for it myself." I said and started walking.

I changed into my uniform at the bathroom, which was at the right side of the lounge then went to search the library. The place looked so big that it felt like I was walking in a maze.

I walked around the hallway for two minutes but still couldn't find the library. From what I know, the library is the only room that has a sliding door so I've been searching for a sliding door, but all I found is a normal big door that leads to who knows where. I also haven't seen any living things which Leo said he have nine children but I haven't seen even one perso-

"WATCH OUT!" A voice interrupted my thought and the next thing I know, I was down the ground.

Something or someone ran over me.

"Sorry!" I look at the owner of the voice and saw a blonde hair with blue eyes guy, on a skate board that was sliding away from me.

"W-wait!" I tried to call out to see if he can hear me, but he was already too far away for him to hear me.

"Darn it, I needed his help." I sigh and slowly stood up.

My butt hurts a little since I landed on it and I wince in pain.

"Hello there~" A voice that was singing from behind me was heard so I turned around to see a guy with red hair and dark brown eyes!

"H-hi?" I was unsure on what I was saying.

"You must be new here." He creepily smiled.

"Y-yes sir! I am S-Sarah, the new maid that's going to be working here starting today."

"Ah, I see... such beauty. My name is Jericho." He took my hand and kissed it. "Say my love, do you need help at anything?"

He's one of the adopted child of Leo!

As much as I don't want to not hang-out with him, he's the only one who might be able to help me.

"W-well..." Damnit! Clear your words Sarah!

"Do you known where the library is? That's where my first job is." I gathered up my words and he creepily smiled again at me... scary.

"Can you please show me the direction to the library sir?" I politely bowed even though I wanted to run away from him but I guess he won't be that bad... right?

"Of course, anything for my Love." He licked his lip which sent chills down my spine.

Love? Is he joking around? He seems pretty serious though

And with that, we walked around the endless hallways because Jericho apparently keep going the wrong direction which is getting me annoyed.

We're not even going anywhere! What is his intention?! This is his castle and yet he keeps making mistake? Who would do that?

Jericho made a turn around the corner again and I have no idea if it's wrong direction again! As I was walking to follow him, completely irritated, I didn't notice that someone opened the door and I went straight to it.

I fell down the ground, and landed on my butt again when the door hit my forehead.

"O-ow!" I touch my forehead where there was a big bump.

I then heard someone laughing and when I look up, I saw a black-haired with grey eyes boy and he was laughing at me. He was also wearing a black hat with a skull printed on it.

"Your... face!" He manage to say between his laughter but then it soon disappeared when another figure came out from the room he was just in.

It was Leo and he looked confuse.

"What's going o- oh, Sarah are you alright?" Leo ask and I nod while standing up and dusting myself.

"Y-yes sir!" I bowed politely.

"Haha, just call me Leo." He chuckled. "Anyway, I have to get going. This is Simon anyway, my real son."

When Leo left, Simon was just staring at me, which was really creepy.

"You the maid?" He ask and I nod.

"Yes sir!" I bowed politely and he made a 'Tch' sound.

"Tch. Clumsy Bastard." I was about to talk back but Jericho came.

"There you are~" Jericho sneered a chill was sent down my spine.

"What?" Simon questioned.

"Well my Love over here ask me to take her to the library since she doesn't know this place yet." Jericho answered.

"I take her there. I heading same way." Simon said and Jericho looked at me for approval and I nod.

"Well if it's okay for my Love, then fine. Just don't get too close with each other." And with that, Jericho left which I am relief.

I guess Simon is much better than Jericho. Simon then walked the different way that Jericho was leading me and I got confuse.

"Hurry up!" Simon shouted impatiently and I ran behind him.

There was an awkward silence between the two of us so I looked around and observed the pictures on the wall when suddenly, I didn't realise that he stopped so I bump into his back.

"Tch. Blind bastard." He spat and I rolled my eyes secretly since I'm just a 'maid'.

Soon, we made it to the library and my mouth formed a big 'O' since this was the first time that I saw a really big library. It was even bigger than the public library.

"You gonna work or stare?" Simon ask and I was brought back to reality.

"R-right." The first thing that I did was pick up the books that was scattered around, then dust the shelves.

Simon grabbed a book then sat down and started reading. I continued cleaning until I got bored. I still remember the day when I always get bored, me and my brother usually play imagination games or sing together.

Since he wasn't here, it's up to me to think of something to do. Our favourite thing to do is copy the movements of Peter Pan.

"You'll never get me Captain Hook for I am Peter Pan!" I shouted and grabbed the broom and pretended that I was fighting someone but it was just the wind. "YARRR! You're just a codfish!"

"What you doing?" Simon ask and I got a fright, forgetting that he was still there.
