Olivander’s POV Since after the death of my father, the position of the alpha king had been vacant, but I had been playing that role. My mother joined my father in the afterlife a few months after my father’s funeral. I understood that she couldn't get past the trauma, but she f*****g dealt with me so much. My life had been lonely, and the only way to always clear up the darkness in me sometimes was by getting myself a submissive. But this time was different. I was going to be crowned if I would present my chosen Luna, and this coronation would take place in three days to come. This was why I didn't need just a submissive but who would act as my Luna for seven days. Yesterday, when I encountered her, my only aim was to have her moan and groan under my dominance. But since she showed up before me again after acting like a warrior, I had to grab the opportunity. ‘No more blind dates. I found someone to take the role.’ I said to my beta through mind link. I had given them the task to fix blind dates for me which was the only way to find a lady that would fit the role easily. “So, you're not employed for now until the deal is over and I hire a competent designer to tutor you.” I drew her attention, my finger flying towards her jaw as I tilted it up. Her gaze locked with me, sending butterflies down my belly. The most interesting part of this deal was having her chained to the bed and spanking her from the back. I couldn't wait to see what her face would look while moaning recklessly to my thrust. Biting the side of my lip, I let go of her and went back to my seat. “You will be leaving with me to the palace today, so you can see what it looks like and settle down.” Then I handed over to her a pen and a sheet of paper. “Put down the address of the hospital here.” She recollected what I meant immediately and put down the name. I stared at it, eyes narrowed. It was a clinic located in a remote town which I once visited. But, how could such a poor clinic take care of a dying person? My eyes drifted back to her, “What exactly is wrong with her?” She moistened her lips, gaze unable to stick with mine. “She is living on oxygen right now.” “In coma.” I muttered to myself. “For how long?” “Since this morning…” I pursed my lips. It would be easier to revive her if action is taken immediately. I picked up my cell phone, typed in the hospital address and sent it to my beta, telling him what to do with it. “Why are you residing in such a remote town when you can't survive with what it could offer?” I leaned my arms on the table, staring at her intently. She spared me a glance and lowered her face. “Uhm, I grew up there. I've known no other place than there.” “Who's your father? Dead?” She gave a single nod. “Yes! My mum said he died even before I was born.” For the first time, I felt bad for someone. I had never believed that people pass through hell and I didnt even care. Hearing her story made me pity her. “Alright! You can wait behind in the guest room until I send for you so we can leave. Or, if you can be comfortable staying here, then you're welcome.” my lips twitched as she gave a slight smile. “Name again!” “Omega Ember Cyril…” “Alpha Olivander Hugo…” I responded and stretched my hand towards her and she accepted. It dawned on me that I was making her feel so comfortable, because she would be shocked that I was a monster. She decided to stay in my office, and after about two hours, we left the company. When we arrived, I had her trail behind me into the palace main building. Gazes lowered. Head bowed. That was what it meant to see me. The mysterious death of my father made me a devil I didn't know I had been—it awakened the demonic side of me. We used the elevator to the last floor where my bedroom and everything that had to do with me were. The first place I took her into was my minor room—a room no one had entered except the ladies that I f**k. As we stepped into the room, her eyes widened in terror. I c****d my head to the side, biting my inner lip. “Anything to say?” Her lips quivered as she blinked constantly, but she shook her head, stepping back a bit. She could see what it means to be my submissive, and by the time I have her chained here, her moans would only resonate within, because there's a soundproof. “Here, I'll do with you whatever I wish and you have no say because you're getting paid for it. That doesn't mean you would die in the process, I'll as well handle you with care." I paced about, my palm dipped into my pocket. “If you go against the rules that would be stated in the contract you would sign, I'll punish you here in any way I wish. And when I order you to visit the minor room, you shouldn't hesitate but rush in here.” Her eyes pinned on me as I explained. She was the tenth lady playing this role as my submissive, and she won't be the last. “Trust me, angel, you will love the feeling that comes with it.” I added and scoffed. “Any question?” Silence stretched between us for sometime before she shook her head. “You wouldn't ask if you could visit your mother?” “It's just seven days and I'll be free. Isn't it?” her face pulled longer as if she was expecting me to refuse. I sighed deeply and shrugged my shoulders. “If you change your mind and wish to visit her before the seven days elapses, then hit on me.” She was against it. I could see that in her eyes. “Fine! Momma shouldn't know what you're doing, right? Then don't panic.” I patted her shoulder and walked straight to the door. She followed quickly, and we left. I led her to the room she would be staying in until the end of the deal, and she loved it, then I headed to my office downstairs. There, I play the role of an alpha king, while in my company, I am a CEO. The moment I entered, Lucas dashed in with his cell phone shining to his face. He placed it before me and bowed. “She's the woman you told me to confirm—her mother. She needed blood yesterday, and after it was taken care of, she went into a coma.” Lucas narrated further. I zoomed the photo, staring at it intently. Her face was familiar, like someone I had seen before. “Alpha, is there any problem with her?” Lucas tried to pull my attention, but I ignored him. I brought my cell phone and scrolled through the gallery in search of the photo that was sent to me a few weeks after the death of my father. After an autopsy was run on him, it was confirmed that he was poisoned to death. So I took it in to investigate the matter to find the culprit, but I never found her even after the hacker sent me the photo of the culprit. The way my gaze affixed on the phone screen made Lucas reach closer to see what was going on, and when he saw the photo in my phone gallery, his eyes flew wide. “Isn't this the photo of the woman who poisoned your father?” his voice came low and curious. I gave a single nod. “Exactly! There's no difference in the photo.” My chest tightened as I contemplated. Hot sweat overwhelmed me instantly. “Send for that lady…now!”
