(I occasionally have a go at writing a macabre tale using dialogue only… this one almost made it.)
"Where is that irritating noise coming from? It sounds like a cell-phone, but not one of ours. I don't recognize the tune."
"Some client must have left one here, by accident, Maybe that gorgeous blonde dame with the Bentley, who was in here yesterday."
"It's driving me nuts, we have to find it. I think it's coming from that one at the end of the room."
"What? That's the one scheduled for tomorrow afternoon, We only just sealed it up this morning."
"Someone must have put a phone in with him."
"You may be right, but perhaps it was his idea? In case he changed his mind and wanted to be let out?"
"Very funny!"
