Rebirth of the War Maiden (RoWM)

This... so this is how it will all end... I voiced in my mind as I watched my friends and soldiers die in the hands of our overwhelming enemies. Devils and demons. Creatures of different sizes and forms, tossed from Hell and the Abyss and into my world. We were blinded. Clans, kingdoms and other races fought and killed each other, deceived and unprepared as these monstrosities crawled out of the void one by one. They have waited for the right moment while they amassed their numbers. When we took notice of their growing power, it was already too late... too damn late. "My Queen! Behind you!" Tatlong patulis na mga yelo ang isa-isang namuo sa likuran ng halimaw at agarang bumaon sa malapad nitong katawan! Matapos nito'y isa-isa na siyang sinaksak ng mga nakapalibot naming mga kaaway! Enraged, I mustered all my strength and power to raise my sword one last time. "Invictàe metàlia!" I chanted as I plunged my shining sword into the ground. Not a second passed when hundreds of swords pierced my enemies from the ground and impaling up their bodies! That single move drained my battered and wounded body dry, but still, I remained standing. Leaning my body onto my burried sword, I glanced at the blood-filled land where the war had begun and is now nearing its conclusion. A demon with huge pincers as hands and with a body of a huge goat mocked me using their infernal language. His ugly semi-human rotting face with goat eyes showed confidence and anger. "Hégurmen kòrùs ahk-- AAGH!" His scream echoed through the battleground as my sword, which I swiftly threw towards him, pierced through his chest. "Akravà, hégurm sasayka? (Sorry, you were saying?)" I cockily retorted as he succumbed to his fatal wound. I knew I was losing but I don't have time to lose hope. Unti-unting natahimik ang kapaligiran. Amidst the thick crowd surrounding me, demons and devils started to step aside, as if giving way to someone as it walked towards me. Sumilay sa akin ang isang matipunong lalaking nababalot ng pulang roba. Kung hindi lang dahil sa mapula niyang balat at mahahabang sungay ay aakalain mong isa siyang tao. Matapos ngumiti ng malapad ay isang bagay ang dinukot inilabas niya mula sa loob ng kanyang suot at inihagis malapit sa paanan ko. Seeing what it was... who it belonged to, my head dropped low. Akacia... The severed head of my most trusted general landed near my feet. Her long hair covered her face but I knew it was her. His expression darkened even more as he spoke. "Garúm habgan taâknu parna aan! (Kill her and you shall be rewarded!)" With loud cheering and roaring, all of them charged me all at once. Weakened as I might be, I still managed to kill many of them but the inevitable came nonetheless. The world around me slowly turned dark. The endless pit where I was falling seemed to have no end. My whole life flashed before my naked and falling body. Surrounding me were blocks of ever flashing memories and bright and solemn balls of light. Victories... Betrayals... Regrets... "Enaa? Unuin en aluen talien, Alucard emisâ!" Isang boses na puno ng kapangyarihan ang tila bumalot sa akin. Sa halip na paibaba ay marahang huminto ang aking pagkahulog at maya-maya'y tila papaitaas na aking pagbulusok! My body was propelled upwards by an unknown force! The same shining balls from before turned into lines of lights as I passed by them in the speed of light! Ang kanina'y madilim na paligid ay napalitan ng nakakasilaw na liwanag. I guarded my eyes from it but I was still being blinded! My body was starting to stretch abnormally until, with a single and abrupt stop, my body bounced up! Matapos kong mapatalon ay mabilis din akong nahulog sa sahig! With a loud thud, my ass met the wooden floor of what seemed to be a dark room! "Iria!" A familiar voice called my name... my childhood name. That voice seemed to have caught me off guard. Hindi makapaniwala sa narinig ko, I looked back... and there I saw her. "I-Inay?" It came out hoarse in disbelief. Her furrowed brows met my widened ones. Her hair was covered with white cloth like how I used to remember her. Her tattered clothes resembled that of a poorly maintained floor rags. "Ayos ka lang ba, Iria? Nanaginip ka ba ng masama? Bakit parang naiiyak ka--?" I immediately stood up and embraced her! What's going on?! Where am I? Is this a dream?! At bakit ang liliit ng mga kamay ko?! At bakit ang baho ko?! My trail of thought was put into a stop when I felt the room moving! Wait. This isn't a room! We're in a caravan! Saka ko lang napansin ang mga matang nakatingin na pala sa akin. Nakaupo kami ni ina sa dulo parisukat na sakayan. Halata ang pandidiri nila sa ming mag-ina dahil sa dungis ng mga suot namin. Halata ang pagkakaiba namin sa kanila na may disenteng mga damit at malinis na balat. My mother realized I was staring at them so she gently pulled me into her arms as she whispered. "Ano bang nangyayari sayong bata ka? Sinabi ko naman kasing wag kang kakain ng marami dahil magalaw sa byahe! O ayan, binabangungot kana ata! Malapit na tayo sa Ferneia, anak, wag kang mag-alala. Konting tiis na lang." This... is my past! Paano ako naibalik sa nakaraan?! Is this... real? Nagbukas ang maliit na siwang sa kabilang dulo ng karaban at bahagyang dumungaw ang hinihinala ko'y kutsero. "Patawid na tayo ng Gubat Deligia. Ilang oras na lang ay makakarating na tayo ng Ferneia." Galak nitong saad. Halata ang pagkatuwa sa mga ibang pasahero, marahil dahil makapagpapahinga na sila sa maayos na silid o di kaya'y dahil makakalayo na sila sa nasusulasok naming amoy.
