When Kevin goes home he does not speak to anyone. He goes up to room and cries. His Father comes into his room and asks him what the problem is, but he will not tell him. His father also has a stutter as he speaks.
Kevin is angry with his father, as he feels that his father has given him the same speech defect.
A monkey is seen outside in the garden. Kevin takes some bananas from the kitchen when no one is about. He goes to the garden at the back of the house and starts to feed the bananas to the monkey.
The monkey seems tame and comes up to Kevin and greedily eats the bananas.
